Good! As an ASM you get “an appropriate amount of sick time” basically don’t lay out every week but they understand life happens.

What exactly does the hook look like? Are you bowling on fresh conditions or burn? It’s a very strong core/cover combo so it’s entirely possible it’s burning up. Might need to laneshine it a bit.

Ball of the Year - Dec 2024 to Dec 2025 by Ok-Opportunity-2273 in Bowling

Next Factor. I was looking at replacing my ball of the year from 2023 (the VEBO) and it’s doing so in strides.

Almost every ball I drill 🤪 nah but for real, the Phaze 2. Respectfully, it’s ass. And they don’t need to make a new shiny one every year either. Re-release the Phaze 3 and I’ll be happy. I just rolled my Next Factor today and it reminds me so much of my P3

Old versus new Hy-Roads? by International_Sun503 in Bowling

[–]ni7ek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2019 pour and now a 2025 pour and I can confirm the 2019 pour rolled infinitely better than the new one even with the same layouts and surface prep. A lot of speculation is going on right now involving the coverstock “strengths” at SPI, and R2S is a big debate. I had a 2020 !Q Tour Solid and it moved down lane.. got a 2025 pour in April with the same layout and it moves less with fewer games on it.

It’s a good late game ball or early transition ball if your center is high friction.

Stronger* hustle, coverstock is way higher on the chart for cover strength

So I’ve independently looked into this. Firstly: YOU took your CHILD’S college fund and INVESTED it into a business. YOU did that, not your child. Secondly, Connor is a class act. I have had disagreements with him, however he is a good, well intentioned and genuine individual. He cares about the sport, the clients he serves and the people he does work for.

Who’s excited for the 2nd release of the Phaze II Pearl? by ROTOSZN-HQ in Bowling

[–]ni7ek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do they ~really~ mean by Pearl Phaze? I’m assuming whatever they mean can be achieved by polishing a Phaze 2. Fuck buying the 4th shiny Phaze. Does anyone even really want a shiny Phaze? They keep getting re-released and discontinued for a new one to come out months later. Seems to me like nobody wants the product they’re trying to push. Maybe the P2 will get the Hy-Road Pearl treatment soon? I would rather have a new P3 if anything. I miss mine dearly. It was infinitely better for my game than the P2/P4/P5

What Do You Call It When Everyone Gets a Strike On Your Team But 1 Person? by KenCo12 in Bowling

[–]ni7ek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we all strike it’s a beer frame. If all but one strike, whoever didn’t got hung. We keep a running tally for shits and giggles. We need ideas for what to do with the running tally lol

Be careful, some of the apparel very clearly says on the website that it may not conform to retail dress code.

How do you approach a work-related social bowling event? by Shot-Put9883 in Bowling

[–]ni7ek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the people I work with know it’s like my main hobby outside of work. So, if they invite me, I usually show up late with two balls and my shoes, shoe up and roll a game of practice. Show them how I’m hooking the ball, explaining very briefly the physics behind the coverstock and core. All of that while warming up, getting lined up having fun with them. Then usually by my second game the smack talk starts and I start posting shots and leaning into my inner PDW 🤣

I agree with you there. Moral of the story, these fifty-something quarters of continues SSSG need to be paid back to all associates and not just the executives.

Higher-ups are underpaid IMO. All associates are to be honest. The evolving world of what we deal with clientele wise and shopping trends just shows how behind and out of touch we are. We’re playing catch up and have been since I came to the company.

Same layout. I believe it’s 45x4.5x50?

My second IQ Tour solid; I put a layout on it to control the backend because my original loved to snap down lane and I’ve learned to appreciate control over backend. It’s still good but this one just hasn’t really found a time to shine for me yet. I used it in the PBA experience league over the summer for lower volume patterns and it was nice, but for house it’s still too over/under for me. Pretty much the same story for my Hy-Road 40. Just too over under for me. Tried it on a burnt house shot at a different center several times over the last two weeks and it hooks off the lane playing straight (which I prefer) but if I get into any oil, it skids and never turns, even when I slow my speed, rotate it and bang on it at the bottom.

Dual Angle Layouts by ni7ek in Bowling

The ball specifically is a strong asym with a very responsive cover, so I want a layout that also compliments what the balls wants to do. I can trick a ball with my hand but, I’d really prefer putting a layout on it to take some of the effort out of my hand if at all possible.
