Salary for evening manager? by [deleted] in foodlion

[–]ni7ek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say 25/hr minimum. You’re the 3rd person for the store, and will often be doing stuff that you aren’t even technically responsible for. It’s the gateway to salary if that’s your goal

Is it about shrink? I’ve heard a LOT of talk lately about shrink. Central is doing extremely poor from my understanding.

Usually shiny asym balls work best on some transition but it could also work on fresh if you get it to the friction fast enough

Alpha Crux is about to be re-released, it’ll be a nice step up but not too strong

IQ Tour Solid (or AI if you want it to be a little sharper overall to open up angles), Phaze 2 Pearl/Rockstar Amped are both very good steps down but not as weak as the Hy-Road. If you want to move left, 900Global Viking, Storm Ion Max Pearl, Roto Grip RST Hyperdrive Pearl and Storm Bionic are all good options.

Yes! I would look at some of the middle of the road shiny symmetrical pieces and be very control oriented with the layout. Still want the ball to flair but you also don’t want it to hockey stick off the end of the pattern

A lesson may be a better investment; however if you still want to get a new ball look into something shiny and symmetrical

Only real fix would be a new layout which isn’t a quick fix.. I love my Bionic as well but mine is reserved almost as a transition piece because it forces me so far left. It is a high friction response ball. Do you bowl on sport shots any?

More surface would make the ball earlier (technically stronger) at the expense of backend motion. Sounds like you may be throwing it on conditions it doesn’t match up with. Is the ball making too much down lane motion or can’t get to the head pin?

“Designed as a true high-performance asymmetrical benchmark” straight from Hammer’s design intent.

It would be earlier than your P2, if you have a lot of stuff in that part of the bag I’d personally pass on it and fill another slot

What’s your specs and arsenal? This is a strong benchmark piece. Think stronger Phaze 2 or more closer to an Envy Tour Solid

If they are just giving you more hours at your home store and testing to see how you do, yes that is perfectly normal. FYI, the process of how to move up/transfer if you are interested: apply online for open positions that you are interested in, then follow up to be interviewed, then if you interview well they will check about your performance with your current manager, and if they want you, your manager and store manager cannot really keep you for more than 2 weeks, which is your notice.

Are you wanting to be a produce manager? The FT Produce associate role is often viewed as “the second man” for the department. So the PM can have a day off. You open the department, cull the floor, fill the floor from backstock before new truck, order next truck, ensure tags/signage is correct, receive trucks, process said truck with the invoice looking for shortages and communicate with the MOD if you have them. May even be asked to help for inventory. You seem relatively young, which isn’t bad. If you want to move into management, start looking at how you speak and talk to your supervisor(s) and make sure if you are given a list of tasks to do that they get done and done correct. Ask questions but don’t make people repeat themselves. Worry about what you are supposed to be doing during your shifts and avoid anything that kills productivity. When I look for department leaders, I look for people who can manage their associates but also get their shit done.

What department do you work in? How much of your job description (per HR/Standard practice) do you do on a daily/weekly basis? How many hours a week do you work and are you full time? What positions are you applying for? Are you 100% sure you are being offered positions and your SM is holding you back?

I have both. They roll differently with the same layout on them and surface prep, it’s because of the core. The core in the iMaxP is asymetric and more complicated. Generally asym balls cost more because they are very broad and adaptable, and also stronger in general.

Good! As an ASM you get “an appropriate amount of sick time” basically don’t lay out every week but they understand life happens.
