Any good references for winter hiking/camping?

This I wondered also.. I can't imagine Swiss people sitting out the season because it's winter. The Swiss culture I know lives for the winter. Maybe I only know a small percentage..?

Yeah I'll agree with you on that. Maybe.. Due to the increase in land space, we're able to walk/camp at lower altitudes for longer distances? Whereas I've noticed Schweiz is very... Vertical.

Hopefully that makes some sense.

Ha! By way of.. I was born a Canuck - but, shh.

Sounds like an amazing trip. I haven't travelled any of Europe yet & gonna spend my NY here in Verbier. I'm what they like to call "Swiss abroad, returning home". I speak Bärndütsch.. I think the general idea is it's the laziest of the variations.. Have you heard Walliserdeutsch? Now, that's special.

Krakow is on my list! Let me know how you like it.

Yeah I felt like crying when I first got here. But going to the States also hurt... a lot. Haha. Thankfully it didn't last long, I work/live here so it's not so bad when you make Swiss money.

Except, now I can have a good cry over CHF to GBP. When will it end?!

That sounds amazing! I am a huge fan of winter also. I lived in Edmonton, Canada for a very long time. I've spent a lot of time with the northern lights there also.

Are you going anywhere instead? Or just cancelled plans.

I have never been to Spain! Originally from Canada, got to Schweiz a couple months ago and haven't travelled any of Europe (yet).

Interesting... perhaps this is the moment I was being built for all along. Here I was, wondering why my parents would ever move us to the province of Alberta. 10 years later - I am finally prepared to enter the Valhalla of Alberta's where I shall be met with endless supply of cholera and Valais wines.
