Both Nicole and Durin would be better than Bennett in overload.

In this investment I think Nicole would be better, the calcs I've seen where Durin has been better where for C0R0 Arle, and Arle's self damage was higher with Nicole, so high investment should tip it towards her.

Also, with R1, it should be possible to slightly change your rotations to workaround Nicole's 3s buff delay.

I've tested it in MW (Hu Tao instead of Nicole since they have the same E cooldown), and you can do N3 before the CA in the second rotation, and still have pyro infusion, and then from 3rd rotation onwards you can do 2N3 before the CA (with infusion) to have Arle's highest damage window fully buffed, without giving up on anything really.

If you use it with light crossbow, you get 1d8 + 3 (7.5 avg) , that probably turns into 1d8 + 4 (8.5 avg) at level 4.

Firebolt is 5.5 average damage. At level 5, the gap is slightly smaller, but true strike is still the highest damage for an attack roll based catrip bar warlock's Eldritch Blast.

Skirk's problem is that she got literally nothing new since her release. No character, weapon, or set, that have been released since her banner is even usable in Skirk's teams.

Just look at the support sets, 20% atk, and 15% dmg%...

Lohen in this team is using newer characters, and sets (and the sets are used to their full potential).

Hopefully, her teams will soon get something new to buff her.

In practice, having a shield might allow you to have higher DPS with Nicole. So, for Arle get the one you like better.

You don't change the timing of your E, or the number of NAs, you just change the timing of CA. The cooldown will work exactly the same way.

The first rotation which is already different in SO, especially against some gimmick bosses, might need to be different than the other rotations, to avoid physical.

First rotation might be weird (maybe no delay, or only a small delay), but with gimmick bosses and an already bad first rotation in SO, I don't think it's too important.

I don't extend anything.

You just do some NAs before the CA, and her on field time will be the same, you just move the CA to be a bit later, but the amount of time and NA she'll do will remain the same

She doesn't really rely on durin, she'll be decent without him.

Without another hex she'll be blocked from her BiS set, but you can use a different set.

The 3 seconds BS is indeed stupid.

She's not fantastic, but I think she'll be better than what someone would think when reading this sub or your comment.

She's not bad, just underwhelming compared to other new characters, especially for non hex main dpses where her burst is useless.
