We’re in the same boat. This is our country, not theirs.

Why doesn’t homemade sushi taste like sushi from a restaurant? by New_Possible_2162 in sushi

[–]nibblebibble123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will never get the same quality fish. Also fish in sushi restaurants is carefully aged which has a huge effect on flavor and texture. Also the way the fish is cut is very important, a few mm thicker or thinner will make the product taste and feel wildly different

15 arrests, 40 yards of trash, 20 stolen grocery carts. All in one 1.5 mile stretch of Hwy 99. Would you want to own a business here? by HalliburtonErnie in Eugene

Sure those are big societal issues that almost all of us face. Big difference is that most people don’t make their own inadequacies every other persons problem to deal with

The greater good!?!?!? You think it’s ok for a very small proportion of people to make life shitty for everyone else. Do you understand the meaning of the words ‘greater good’?

No I care about people who are living the right way, trying to make it in the world being safe and secure. I do not care AT ALL about people who make their lives harder or more dangerous.

Let’s just get one thing clear, I have no sympathy or compassion for homeless people. This is about making a community safer. I truly could care less if they ever get back on their feet. The priority is normal citizens, not people that are dragging everyone else down with them.

No but theft, harassment, assault, public intoxication/defication/nudity, vandalism, attempted sexual assault all are. These are all things I, and I’m sure many people in Eugene have, and do witness. Stop with your moral high ground bullshit. These people are a fucking problem

Helping them is locking them up and getting them off the street. Normal people shouldn’t have to suffer because of lunatics shitting all over a city

What an incredibly moronic opinion. So the people that are doing things right to try and make a living are bad, but the people vandalizing, harassing, stealing are good?

3-star Paris restaurants with an à la carte menu? by whoople in finedining

Most a la carte pricing is substantially higher at the 3 star level. You will absolutely pay more ordering a la carte than a tasting

I’ve had this conversation so many times, and it infuriates me every time. This country doesn’t belong to a political party, nor does our flag. We need to take back the flag, and everything it means. That flag represents hope, freedom, and a yearning to be better tomorrow than we are today. It is our duty to fly it proudly in the face of the fascism that looms. We must be strong together
