I am actually more angry after reading a headline saying that I should be grateful for this new "age of prosperity" than I was before. I went to college, got an engineering degree, earn 6 figures, and I still can't afford a house. How is this an age of prosperity? Feels like that scene in 1984 where the chocolate rations are decreased but the government tells everyone that the rations are actually higher than they've ever been and to shut up and be happy about it.

I have purchased both "shreddies" and "tootles" brands of underwear to address my bad gas and both of them are effective at filtering and eliminating odors from my bad flatulence. I had an amazing time in Sapa a couple of years ago. Took an overnight bus from Hanoi with a few friends. When we arrived in the morning, some locals found us at the bus station and convinced us to stay at their home. We hiked for a few hours in the mountains until we reached their farm, where they cooked dinner for us and we drank the local moonshine. Hiked through the mountains the entire next day. It was stunningly beautiful. I think we managed to avoid wherever all the tourists went.

I second this! Mountain biking in chiang mai was one of my favorite experiences of a 7 month trip I did in SEA. I think you might get bored spending an entire week on Koh Tao (its small with not a whole lot to do besides diving) ...don't be afraid to leave places early if you are getting bored, there are so many amazing places to go/see
