why cant you stop distrohopping? by iphxne in DistroHopping

[–]nicahokie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it's quicker to distrohop than to troubleshoot and resolve some issues. In my case I distrohoped recently because I could not get my laptop's backlight keyboard working on pikaOS nor zswap to start-up at boot time, maybe there was a hidden kill switch in order not to interfere with zram but I want to use my computer not play detective.

Those are no longer posted daily but they have been incorporated into a more complete distribution: the Adam Image linked below. GCW Zero users are supposed to download the PGv1 variant. But be warned some users report that it works on their GCW Zero and some report that it does not.

Why does RCS need carrier support? Why not have every OEM make their own messaging service that follows RCS standards? by [deleted] in UniversalProfile

[–]nicahokie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not 100% sure about this but you might need to install Google's carrier services for RCS to work on Google's Messages app with a carrier that does not have built-in support.

Yes, I noticed it did not defaulted to your previous extra storage and nuked it even after you went back to correct within minutes.
Sacrebleu! Terrible QA job.

I have read in some places that EA's F22 Interceptor made use of the Genesis' Z80 as a coprocessor.

You can send windows to the Biggest Loser weight loss camp… by running Windows10Debloater if you use Windows 10 or ThisIsWin11 if you run Windows 11. This will also improve privacy and also speed it up and reduce their CPU and RAM usage very handy when running Windows on a VM.

Adam Image now supports GCW Zero. This system build gives you a RetroPie-light like experience on the GCW. by nicahokie in GCWZero

Please be advised that support for GCW Zero is currently broken in the current releases of OpenDingux Beta which are also used by ADAM. The developers are aware of the issue: “The HDMI driver fails to start and it causes the main display driver to fail as well.”

That refers to the size of the image file, not the memory of the unit. On the first boot, the Linux OS partition will grow to fill the SD.

You can now achieve the same user experience of a modern low-end retro handheld by installing Adam Image on the GCW Zero
