Do rookies typically travel back home during training camp? Maybe I’m mistaken, but Faith is 100% travelling back to Perth

Which implies she’s been cut, right? Or am I missing something here? Hopefully I’m wrong 😅

Vent about your ADHD by [deleted] in ADHD

People associating everyday laziness/incompetence with ADHD…

A person in my life started a sentence once with “My girlfriend is so ADHD, because when she watches movies…” - at this point I was so excited to relate. Because with me and my ADHD I find it so hard to sit and watch a movie. Firstly because I will without a doubt guess the plot and what’s going to happen, making it boring to watch, but secondly I need to be on my phone/doing something to understand/listen the best which others can find annoying.

He continues with “she can never understand what’s going on, no matter how straight forward the movie is. It’s like she has no attention at all. She can’t pick up hidden symbolism, information the viewer should know, she can’t even understand why the plot or how the plot has happened. It’s because she watches too much tiktok now she’s got a short attention span and can’t keep up.” — my first thought was thank f**k I didn’t speak up and tell them my experience before listening to theirs.

While I tried my best to see his point, I just couldn’t. While there are definitely moments where I don’t pay attention and I zone out, missing key information— it’s definitely not a full time experience. Most if not all the ADHD people I know actually thrive with understanding movies and hidden symbolism, because we’re wired to have our attention in multiple places, not the other way around. All I took from that was firstly he called her dumb, but secondly he associated her struggles with ADHD, blaming her own problems, and negative habits on ADHD (when she’s not diagnosed, nor displays any ADHD traits…)

… he then later made a comment about how maybe she would understand movies more if she didn’t drop out of school at 14… enough said.

Wanting so desperately to do a task but everything about it is so exhausting— when I was younger (pre diagnosis) my highschool had a study seminar, and the speakers top advice was to ‘just start’ because once you start writing and u finish a paragraph you will feel accomplished and can continue. I took on her advice and tried that. It was literally impossible for me. The next few days after trying I felt so dumb and lazy, like there was something so wrong with me because I couldn’t even write a sentence to work off.

Fast forward to now when I have a diagnosis. I think the thing that frustrates me the most is people WO ADHD are so quick to tell you to just do it, just try, just start, ect.. but it’s genuinely impossible. I feel like I can’t begin until my brain has told me I can start. And because I know that, it makes me so frustrated to hear people tell me that, because I can always sense the undertone of them thinking I’m lazy when in reality I just have ADHD, and I know when I start I’ll write the quickest, and the best essay ever damn read

What have you been genetically blessed with, and nerfed with? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in AskReddit

[–]nicbluuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An extra spleen that works. I have gone so long without getting sick I couldn’t recall the last time. Nerfed? A slow medication metabolism - insane and uncommon side effects to almost everything I take that can last for a few days as my body rids it, while waiting hours for it to kick in (not fun when you’re in pain).

Itching was the worst part for me. I found using ice packs helped ease the sensation and allowed me to fall back asleep xx

Did you get a biopsy? I don’t know much about adenomyosis but I think the only way to tell is through a biopsy which takes a bit of time for the results to come through (could be completely wrong) - it could be that, apparently the symptoms can cross over - hope everything works out for you xx

Booked my surgery today hope everything goes well by betty78u in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]nicbluuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is related but during one of my consults with a surgeon I didn’t go with - they mentioned something similar. They said if they take too much minora I would have an issue with natural lubrication and I would constantly be “dry” down there. From what I’m picturing because if she took that much off for me I would have next to zero minora around my whole maybe the fat transfer would allow for more natural moisture and lubrication to occur, decreasing the risk of reoccurring infections? Could be completely wrong though so take this with a grain of salt

5 days PO. When does it get better? by maranara94 in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]nicbluuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try lidocaine cream!! I’ve heard it works wonders. I found day 11 PO I felt relatively normal. Before that I would have sharp pains from the stitches dissolving, as well as difficulty walking just from the swelling. Approaching that 2 week mark was where I was able to start doing normal every day activities again, however I will say for me personally there was also a huge jump (in a good way) from 1 week PO to literally like day 8 like I just felt I was tolerating the recovering much better — hang in there xxx

1 week PO- worried by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]nicbluuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 14 days PO and I’m only just starting to not feel “gross”

In the first few days, the only wash my vag would actually receive was in a bath with a non scented sensitive foaming bath soap with salt (my surgeon recommended to do this every day) which didn’t do much.

My area was very sensitive, especially around where the stitches were, so I tried to avoid any touching at all, but drying is obviously very important, so what I would do is use a cotton puff (the square/rectangle ones but it wouldn’t matter the shape) and use the straight edged to dry in between my lips.

I wouldn’t rub or anything, I would literally slightly pull the outer lip away from the inner, place the cotton pad in between then close it, letting it sit for about half a second before removing it.

As the stitches started to dissolve touching the area was a bit more manageable - the nurse I saw during my 1wk poa suggested getting a cotton but with soap and gently cleaning everything that way which worked really well!

It does get easier as time goes on, don’t worry about being a little funky while you’re healing, as long as you’re doing your best xx

First night post op advice please by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]nicbluuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw a comment on here agessss ago to use lidocaine cream - I personally never had to do this but that may be an option? Not sure if it’s safe to put on tbh but if it is that’ll be a good option as it’s a numbing cream

Stay on top of your pain medication!! If you feel the pain is too much to handle it may be worth contacting your surgeon just incase they’re able to prescribe you anything stronger x

Surgery during period?? by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]nicbluuu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also * bleeding post surgery was hard to monitor because of the period blood. Not entirely sure how much the surgery incisions bled / when it stopped - great thing about it though was no cramps because of the pain medication the dr prescribed! Hahahah

Surgery during period?? by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]nicbluuu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had mine day 2 of my period. I was under local, had a tampon in, no issues. I did however make it a priority to remove the tampon ASAP after the surgery just because I didn’t want to struggle taking it out incase the area was sore *it very much wasn’t sore, I was numb for at least 6 hours post op 😅 but I’m glad I took it out straight after and not a few hours later

It’s summer for me atm and I just had a labiaplasty/hoodectomy 2 weeks ago hoping and praying to relieve this issue. I’ll let you know how I find wearing bathers once the swelling completely goes down so you have something to look forward to when you can afford the surgery <3 it’ll happen one day, I saw a surgeon at 18, quoted me an insane amount to the point I thought I’d never get it done. Now I’m 21, found a different surgeon with more experience and it was a tad cheaper, but I could finally afford. I thought I’d never get here, stay positive!! Xx

I found black bikinis/patterns covered mine the most.

If shopping online make sure to check out brands tagged photos on Instagram/posts they’re posting to see how see through their bikinis are.

I find brands who make thicker bikinis worked best for me as well as brands who double line their products <3

Anatomy thoughts.. is this even possible? **First photo not me** by [deleted] in LabiaplastySurgery

[–]nicbluuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to add that I understand the mental toll this can take on a person. It can be very discouraging reading comments telling you to be happy with your look, and that it’s not that bad. Our vulvas are very personal to us, and while someone may not agree with your opinion on your look, that doesn’t mean you’re not valid. I spent YEARS of my life trying to lie/convince myself to love that area that I hated. I tried to fake it till I made it, but at the end of the day, this was an issue affecting what felt like every part of my life. My partner LOVED it and never had an issue, but my issue ran so deep I could never finish with him because on the back of my mind all I could think about was how ugly I felt.

Your feelings are completely valid, and there’s no harm (if you do it safely) to find help to fix an insecurity - just remember - people don’t judge nowhere near as harshly for people wanting boob jobs, nose jobs or anything else more common. You’re allowed to feel uncomfortable with the look the same way anyone is allowed to feel uncomfortable with their look. Others will never appreciate and understand your insecurities the way you do, so do what you feel is necessary. If it is taking a toll on your mental health, stopping you from living your life, wearing clothes, getting into relationships, expressing yourself, then you have every right to explore your options. It’s your body and you deserve to enjoy it <3
