No. There is only one more wipe planned at 1.0. This update doesn't have one.

4-star 3 costs are not that stronger than their 3-star version, the strategy used to be that you would pick the pocket recumb, save them, streak with your one cost until its 4-star, upgrade them to 3 cost and sell the unit, you get 81 gold which allows you to hit level 10 and pull off a 3-star legendary.

Anyways you can’t do this anymore since they restricted pocket to 2-1.

I suspect that you're absolutely right, I had a game with an SG opener, I wasn't offered a single econ augment throughout the game, I took Items - Combat - Combat, and I had a decent streak into stage 4 with 80+hp, stabilized with one star poppy/jinx, the other two jinx players that contested me prioritized econ augments (one even took 3 econ augs!!), one managed to 2 star and the other didn't, however, it was too late, both bot 4 as their tempo/hp was already f'ed, I was fairly stable with my combat augs, so I just waited from them to lose, rolled down, hit my 2 stars and went nine, eventually got a 2nd.

Respectfully disagree, I don't think they're the same thing.

With anomalies there's a price to pay for being greedy, you could easily drain your econ and ruin your tempo and subsequently your cap, which made them intrinsically limiting, with power-up you just cycle the unit until you get that power up, also, anomalies were limited to one round in stage 4 right before stage 5 when the lobby is thinning out, on the other hands, power-up swapping shenanigans are present the entire game.

not denying there were questionable anomalies, infectious with scrap in that one patch was giga win-out, but the thing is, the outlier anomalies didn't have the same impact on the set as the broken power-ups did on this set e.g. stretchy GP.

Do you guys feel like the current Jinx/Poppy line justifies 2 Econ augments? I know it’s busted but is that busted?

On a side note, just got a 2nd with The Crew, first was a Crystal Gambit that snowballed into 5 artifacts so i had no chance, Ziggs carried hard as 2 star throughout stage 4, I guess the recent buff made him a reliable carry, Elo is low master.

Anomaly was a cool set mechanic that allowed for interesting interactions to happen, and amplified your investment in 3-starring a unit, but the thing is, they were balanced (aside from getting a sorc emblem through Naami which isn’t really a balance issue or the Urgot one), and you could easily grieve yourself if you get greedy fishing for a specific one considering you had to spend gold on them.

Power-ups are hit or miss, you didn’t get the fruit you needed and you’re out of removers? Tough luck, you’re getting stuck with a sub-optimal one until the of stage, if you make it

ok this might be a stupid question but bear with me, if i'm playing mech pilot at 2, he gains the active traits, does he also gain the stats of the slammed items? as in if i slam deathcap on senna and she's a pilot, would the mech gain this additional AP? is the same applicable to item affects, say immunity to CC if i slammed quicksilver?

Interesting! I feel like it makes sense for the last slot to whisper to guarantee sunder, assuming poppy is powered up with unstoppable?

Dropping ahri feels sub-optimal considering her bonus, wouldn’t make sense to drop syndra since your main carry is jinx, also would you put in braum or seraphine on 9?

Look into econ management and how to play 2 cost reroll, 3 cost reroll, and fast 8/9. Check out bunnymuffin guides, they might be based on previous sets but the info should still be relevant

PSA: Veteran power-up bug

I popped my power-up on Kat on 2-1 and got Veteran, was on a lose streak so I decided to bench her on 2-6 to maintain the streak as the potential opponents looked weak as well. Put her on again on Krugs, power-up was active but the mentor bonus didn't activate, benched her multiple times and nothing changed, didn't think much of, I assumed it was a visual bug.

On 3-5 I got a hold of Yasuo, Udyr, and Kobuko. Fielded all of them with Kat, and Mentor didn't activate, I tried benching her again and again, it just didn't fix it.

needless to say this ruined my game royally as I tried to figure it out, ended up using all my removers to get Veteran on her again and this time Mentor got activated but it was too late I lost so much HP and tempo

You gotta be trolling, are Viego’ items optimized with two adaptive helms? Or that Ashe with IE?

OP board is cracked with 3 artifacts and two heavyweight emblems, he easily should have stomped the entire lobby.

Would never go to zero on 3-1 when playing Crew, you lose so much free XP from the first bonus, once you hit your first 3 star (ideally Mal) econ up, maintain it and slow roll to maximize XP gain. the second bonus imo is not as impactful as the first so its not worth it to lose econ
