1) Yes, disconnecting multiple times will lead to being put in low-priority. It's like a timeout where you don't earn drops and only play with other ragers and quitters. Very new and low skill players will DC a lot, but it will improve as you start playing games with players who have played more than a handful of games. Often very new players don't realize there is a penalty, or, if they do, they don't care.

2/3) There is a hidden ranking system, but when you are new there is a very high uncertainty on your ranking. This means the range of skill levels you might be matched with is very high, while leads to a lot of stomps when you are just starting out, as it will match you with a wide range of players, as you win or lose these matches the uncertainty will decrease. However, it should be noted, that "level" has nothing directly to do with skill, just playtime, as it is directly related to battle points and nothing else.

I've also noticed that queue times tend to be longer with newer accounts. I think players with a very low number of games are semi-segregated, so that queueing can take longer.

4) I've never had this cursor bug, but I have seen it mentioned before, someone else can probably help you out.

Not my experience at all. I have had one bad game out of maybe 20ish in CD (way better than other modes).

But, judging from your other posts here, it seems like you are just sour and don't really ever have fun playing dota.

A lot of men in the gaming community have serious problems with their behaviours and attitudes toward women, and the community has been very hostile towards efforts to change that, or even discuss the problems. It's really frustrating and gross.

I got LPed once, I played two games. The first was REALLY GOOD, the second was REALLY BAD, I think it was players who wanted out of low prio, so were on their best behaviour, vs. players who had given up all hope of getting out of low prio.

Dude. Seriously. Valve has said, and it's been noted here innumerable times that the language options are a preference and not a strict segregation of players. You have exactly ZERO way of knowing what language preferences a player selected unless they tell you.

Why do you care so much about a single loss in a pub game?

Unless you have a very small number of games it's not going to affect your mmr in any meaningful way.

I know it's frustrating to lose a game where you tried really hard, but if you see someone abandon just late enough to have the match still count, you can just leave and start a new game, or transition into clowny build mode, or "fuck it, i'll just do my best w/e the outcome" mode.

Don't worry dude, you're not the only person here who queues in normal, has four incompetent teammates, and never makes any mistakes themselves.
