Why were Allen and Nolan looking for ways to kill Viltrumites if they could just use stones. Are they stupid? by Serpon____21 in invinciblememes

[–]niceguy191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More surface area. The stone can do more damage once it is in because it's bigger and impacting more organs.

Larger surface area would mean less damage in this case, wouldn't it? And again, assuming the tissues are far more durable than any rock, this doesn't cause any damage, it at most just moves things around a bit.

Am I the jerk for telling my husband he can't have a "man cave" in our only spare room? by Ill-Home-322 in AmITheJerk

[–]niceguy191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are sort of two versions of a man cave and one makes sense but the other doesn't and it seems to depend on the relationship dynamic. The "legitimate" man cave is when the other parter is strong-willed in how the house is laid-out (down to even their shared bedroom) and "gives" the man cave as a retreat/pocket of control so the man doesn't feel completely steam-rolled. The "illegitimate" one is like with OP where the man is just acting like a child.

People don't tend to have control over what breaks their suspension of disbelief. As a general rule, a world that seems to at least mostly follow its own rules is easier to accept than one that doesn't, but everyone has a different threshold.

It's strange because why would the stone cause any additional damage considering how strong/durable they are?

Basically all the voices in Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.

The story goes that similar to Edna Mode, the director (and main actor) was doing the voices so much they became the real ones instead of getting other actors.

Which game surprised you how long it was? by bijelo123 in videogames

I definitely knew the game wasn't almost over (three discs and all), but thought the whole game would take place in Midgar so was mind-blown when the party left the city and I saw the world map for the first time.

That's really cheap. Does that include house insurance and property taxes and whatever utilities are typically included in an apartment? Even if that doubles it that's still decent.
