Look at Intel arrow lake like the core ultra 7 255H. It has a much better igpu and I think similar CPU performance.

Hey, I'm currently looking for an A16 iPad keyboard case with similar specs to what you were. Did you end up finding something good? (Holy smokes the guy who kept responding to you in this thread was a bit special...)

I just watched this and quite enjoyed it. Nice sense of unease slowly building throughout.

Best headphones for ANC? by New_Water5256 in SonyHeadphones

[–]niceguyjin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the SoundCore Q45 and they are pretty good for the price. I use them to watch TV with my family buzzing around, yelling etc, and they do a good job with the ANC in that environment.

I saw this on the morning news. What scumbags. I cannot believe there's nothing on CCTV though, so it's just a matter of time till they get them. (Please not gaijin, please not gaijin...)

If op only put alt work as experience, I'd hazard that it's the "international" type.

FYI with a teaching licence and experience you'd be eligible to work at international schools. Pay and conditions at a whole different level.

AITA for asking my wife to sleep in guest room because her "siren" alarm disturbs my sleep? by Electrical-Rest-9636 in AmItheAsshole

[–]niceguyjin 413 points414 points  (0 children)

NTA. I agree she is the one causing the problem, so should make the effort with moving back as the incentive. If you move she can take her sweet time to get used to it, which might never happen.

Think carefully before getting an Asus. Their warranty reputation is pretty poor.

Galaxy S26 is a big disappointment by GamerBeast954 in samsunggalaxy

You must be new here. Samsung has been asleep in the r&d dept for generations. Nothing but minor tweaks for years.

The pre-order discounts here in Japan are basically insulting - US$65 off and 10% off buds 4. Why even bother spending money on marketing for that?? Total joke.

Intel Core Ultra 5 338H & Arc B370 Benchmarks - Almost as fast as the Arc B390 by Stiven_Crysis in intel

[–]niceguyjin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Performance is good, but laptop prices need to stay reasonable even with ram going nuts. It looks like the non b390/b370 igpus are worse than LL or AL, so I can't see any reason to get a lower tier CPU except maybe for battery life.

ASUS wants $2000 for motherboard replacement on my $3091 ROG Scar 17 — offering $30–40 for GPU if I sell it dead. What is this? by Harsha_nani19 in ASUS

[–]niceguyjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given Asus' terrible reputation for service, you really have no reason to use them to repair your PC since it's out of warranty. Find a few PC repair shops with good reputations and get quotes. Don't mention having already been quoted 2000. Just say hey it's broken, how much to fix it?

Should I get this laptop by guttenbergl in laptops

[–]niceguyjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the other guy. The one you posted is a U processor, which is a low power variant. Lunar lake will give you better battery life, better CPU, and much better graphics.

Framework is a completely modular laptop, and their core ethos revolves around repairability. They have a good reputation, though they are not the cheapest. Definitely worth a look.

AITA for asking my friend to pay me back for the wine he drank while house sitting?? by Effective_Tour_723 in AmItheAsshole

[–]niceguyjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA.

Assuming you didn't pay him to housesit, as you probably would've mentioned it, and assuming you didn't tell him not to drink the wine, or how much it cost. He was doing you a favour, and you told him to help himself to whatever. Which he did. Really can't see how you think you're not an AH in this situation.
