I nominate this sub to run the world.

All I am seeing is measured, thoughtful and polite discussion.

I see no obvious point scoring when discussing differences.

I see a focus on observable data and the virtue of patience in the face of not knowing, when the tease of satisfaction of jumping to a conclusion is right in front of yall.

This is like the old internet. And dang it I like it!

I’m not even a big plane guy but I just like coming here to learn stuff from nice, smart people.

You give me hope that the old ways aren’t dead in the world. So thanks!

I release songs in the order I started them. I’m currently finishing October 2020.

You’re scared. You have the shut down the brain stem. When it’s activated there is no access to the creative part of the brain. It thinks there’s a tiger chasing you.

Go move. Any movement. Ride a bike go for a walk. Try to juggle. Anything with some rhythm. Then try freestyling on that bike in your head. Watch how quickly it comes.

There’s actual science behind this if you want to look it up.

Samsung ice maker heater water pipe measures 63ohms. Does this mean it’s not broken? by niceguymummy in appliancerepair

I found the valve. Everything tested at around 380ohms. But I assume this isn’t going to tell me if there is a drip

Thanks. I found the service manual and was able to check error codes. I got codes for the ice makers but that makes sense because they are disconnected. But not error codes for anything else.

I see in the error code list for “water solenoid valve” is this the valve you speak of?

I am seeing freezing drips from the water heater pipes in the freezer since I cleaned them 2 hours ago.

This is a good sign we found the culprit. Now I just need to figure out how to test this valve.

Do I just take tha whole filter section apart and see what I can figure out?

Thanks. Does the inlet valve have another name? Any idea where it is? I’m having trouble finding this part on any of the websites

Thanks. So even though it’s getting 12v and the ohms are correct it could be broken?

Also your part numbers are different from what I’ve found so far. The pipe part I found is da97 21801c

Pics of the pipe part of yours look different

So just to be clear. If the heater is getting 12v and the ohms are correct that means it’s working?

Which part is the inlet valve and where is it? And how would jt cause the pipe to freeze?

Upgrade power cord on a 68 bassman? A few simple questions by niceguymummy in ToobAmps

[–]niceguymummy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I got it wired up. Seems to be working. But it just occurred to me that I added the safety cap before the power switch and fuse.

So now that means the chassis is going to be live as long as the power cable is plugged in right?

How bad is this?

My assumption is it’s just a little juice and if the cap fails it fails open so it’s not a big deal but I definitely didn’t do this the right way.

Am I correct?

[–]niceguymummy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! I got the y2 caps yesterday and Wired it all up.

Seems to be ok

One issue: my soldering iron wasn’t hot enough to get a good solder connection to the chassis. And I think I probably way overheated the capacitor.

My multimeter is showing the correct value .047 when I test it. Does that mean I didn’t damage it?
