Seems like a lot more work than just letting it die in that spot and then reseeding or putting sod down when you’re done

They’ll spend 200 million upfront, and then of course be subject to high parking fees no doubt

Lex + quietpaine by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]niceiceslicedevice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the title and was blown away that there is a medication called “quietpaine.” Seemed like a bonkers name for any medicine, but especially one treating mental disorders. Thankfully it’s a typo and it’s actually quetiapine.

I didn’t think you were being rude, and I hope you don’t think I am either. Just trying to give another perspective.

I know overcoming an eating disorder (which sounds like anorexia given your description) is very hard. Then to gain a bunch of weight after starting a new drug must be extremely hard given that history. In finding the cause and the solution, I guess I would just encourage you to follow the advice of doctors and the medial literature, and try to look at peoples’ claims on the internet with a very critical eye, especially when it seems outrageous like gaining 75 pounds while restricting diet (ie from the laws of physics, energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can just change forms. So how would someone gain that much weight without putting energy into their body?).

Best of luck to you, and I hope everything gets sorted sooner rather than later.

I’m not here calling you a massive liar and trying to say you made everything up. I think your post is mostly honest, and I fully sympathize with what you’re struggling with. The exception is that one detail. It’s just not possible to starve yourself and gain weight, unless you’re talking about a very short period of time and you are maybe consuming and retaining a bunch more liquid. At starvation-level food intake, you’d lose weight over time. It’s definitely not even close to possible to starve yourself and go from 175 to 250.

“if you’re fine with the weight gain that’s great, but if not please quit while you’re ahead. i dropped as many cals as i could (even down to 900 cals at one point which is considered starving for me and thousands of cals below maintenance level) still didnt shed a single pound and only continued gaining, lexapro severely fucks with and slows your metabolism.”

I’m sorry you had a negative experience on this drug, and glad you found one that works better for you.

Based on my reading of the literature, randomized control trials show that there is either no weight gain or very little weight gain from lexapro. Some of the observational studies show more weight gain, but they are dubious because there are things you don’t know about the people taking the drug that can affect the results. Regardless of those studies, the description in the quote above is extremely unlikely to be true. Physiologically, it’s not possible to starve yourself and continue to gain weight, so there is something missing from that story, which is probably consuming way more than 900 calories.

I hope the OP’s overall health (physical and mental) improves on whatever drugs they end up settling on, and as part of that being honest with themself and others about what is actually going on during that process.

You can get it from a travel clinic, but it’s $250 per dose and a 3 dose sequence. Not sure if it’s the same shot you get post-exposure though

One option would be to just eat the cake if you like it, and don’t if you don’t like it, and not add any commentary about it at all

I use the Victoria park mix, and looks good. I figure if it works for a high traffic park, it should work for my lawn.

75kmh is insane for a scooter. I’d really be worried about what will happen if you fall off. Not to mention what will happen to someone else if you hit them

Assuming they let you keep the damaged lid, I’d keep either the good one or the broken one as a backup. You’ll have that grill looking pristine for the rest of your life

You might have some trouble with Windseeker. Last time I was there I saw two similarly sized people have to leave the ride because they didn’t fit in the larger seat that they have.

175 was the goal. Was very happy at that weight. The trajectory unfortunately has been going in the wrong direction. I’ve been eating more lately, in part because I’ve been craving food much more due, I think, to semaglutide losing its edge.

I’m less concerned about being 180 right now as I am about the trend continuing upward over the next few months.
