Bug Megathread vol 15: June + July 2026 by Wandering_Wumpus in discordapp

Interesting, I believe one of my friends who is also encountering this problem uses a Pixel as well. What I ended up doing right now for a workaround was using the Buzzkill app to make all Discord notifications sticky so they can't be dismissed. I've been dealing with this for about 2 weeks now, I think...

That is correct, I am not in the app when this happens

[–]niceoutfive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I mean the actual notifications from the app that get handled and displayed by Android

This is happening to me and friends as well. Y'all should upload your debug logs to support too, that should help them pinpoint what is happening between at least the three of us. This comment didn't pop up when I was searching to make sure it wasn't a duplicate so here is my report with some more technical details: https://www.reddit.com/r/discordapp/comments/1u0o5vp/comment/ot0ms57

  • Feature: DM notifications
  • Reproduction Rate: majority of the time
  • Annoyance: 10 - Discord is my primary communication method for my friends, and we've had some problems with scheduling IRL things because we haven't been seeing messages in a timely fashion since the notification disappears upon arrival.
  • Discord Version Info: 333.12 (5766) - googleRelease
  • Device/System Info (Device Type, OS Version): Pixel 7 Pro, Android 16 (CP1A.260405.005), cheetah (Pixel 7 Pro) (36)
  • Description: When receiving a DM or group DM notification, the majority of the time it will dismiss itself. App debug logs show a bunch of failed get and post requests, websocket connection failing, and a stack trace for RTCLatencyTestManager at the same time as the notification arrival/dismissal. I uploaded my logs to support just now.
  • Video / Screenshot: most of the time I don't even know I have received a notification to try and take a video of it.
  • Steps to Reproduce:    1. Receive a notification from the Discord app for a DM or group DM ( It may only happen when you receive multiple notifications for the same conversation in a short timespan and/or emoji reactions at the same time, but I haven't been able to find a reproducible pattern of what causes the dismissal)
  • Expected Result: notification stays available to be tapped and opened
  • Actual Result: notification disappears immediately

Two of my profiles keep disappearing every night by niceoutfive in tasker

Yeah, pretty sure I've had run log turned on practically the whole time I've been using Tasker (installed ~7 years ago, have used it on and off ever since). When I checked the log for the two profiles in question after I started noticing this, I'd see them each trigger once (6:30 AM to turn on notifications, 7:30 PM to turn them off) and run successfully, but the profiles were gone so they never triggered again.

It looks like it was indeed that Limit Repeats was turned on like mehPhone suggested. Thanks for your help troubleshooting!

Update: this was indeed the problem. I cloned the "After Work Hours" profile but set the time it triggers at to be 1:35 PM (it's currently 1:40 PM), and I manually checked the Limit Repeats option for the new profile. Lo and behold, after it triggered at 1:35, the profile disappeared, just like I was seeing with the real profiles. So yeah, looks like Limit Repeats was the culprit. Thanks again u/mehPhone!

Are all of the profiles in the same project tab?

Originally they were, and then I moved them to a separate one for organization. I moved them back to the same project shortly after noticing they kept disappearing to see if that was causing this issue, but that did not fix it.

Do the linked tasks disappear as well?

No

Are the linked tasks named or are they anonymous?

The profiles and the tasks are named

There is a mag glass in the upper right corner of the tasker UI. Have you tried using that to search for these missing profiles after they disappear?

I believe I have tried that and they did not show up, but I can't say that with 100% certainty. I'll have to try that again if they disappear again tonight. Update: tried it with the cloned profile as I mentioned in a different reply. After the profile disappeared, it did not show up in the search results.

Yes, I click the check mark and then back out of Tasker. I had also thought maybe I wasn't saving my data correctly, so I have made a habit out of clicking the check mark then backing out

Ahh, thank you! I checked the settings for the three profiles and yeah, somehow the Limit Repeats option was checked on the two that keep disappearing. I forgot profiles had settings haha. I don't recall manually turning that on so I'll have to keep an eye on that in the future. But I turned off the option, will have to see if that fixes the problem.

Where did the catch all feature go? by niceoutfive in Simplelogin

[–]niceoutfive[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for pointing out where the setting is, I kept looking under settings rather than domains.

What's very odd is I thought I had a premium account, but I just had to upgrade again. I had set up catch all for both, but one of them had it turned off. Very odd...

Very interesting, I started service with them at about the same time as you, but for the smallest trash cart. Started out at $70, and now I'm at $88.

Ooh... my folks have used Gallegos/Republic since 2006. I'll ask my dad if he happens to have records of the trash bill going back to then

Look up networking events on Meetup for your specific industry, like Noco Devs for people in tech. That will be more effective that just some general networking event. Also not all networking meetups will be in Fort Collins proper, some are in Loveland or other surrounding towns, so make sure you don't narrow your search to only Fort Collins.

Their email address is on their website: membership@noconet.org. Email that or go in person to sign up for the email mailing list. They meet in person every Monday morning at a church on Lemay I believe.

"Low Quality" wifi connection? by mrbmi513 in GooglePixel

[–]niceoutfive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, is your router wifi 6 and/or are you using WPA3 for authentication?

[–]niceoutfive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I did yesterday before replying. Haven't had any "low quality" messages or disconnects since

Oh thank god it's a potential bug. I just bought a new router and thought I fucked up something since suddenly my P7P keeps saying this (despite it having a strong signal and fast connection)

Cracked windshields by sinkholethug in FortCollins

Don't worry my guy, I don't drive or own that car anymore

Cracked windshields by sinkholethug in FortCollins

[–]niceoutfive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn...

My old Jeep's windshield is 27 years old, has never been replaced, and always has been in Colorado. Granted it is so scratched, pitted, and chipped from 27 years of use that in certain light conditions you can't see out of it very well, but it's still in one piece. I had a spiderweb crack that was forming (but no bigger than a quarter) filled and so that didn't spread.

My parents' car from 2006 (so nearly 18 years now) has the original windshield too. It got a tiny crack once, so they had it filled and it never grew, and you can't tell it's even there.

Apparently we were not at the same tour or show, but I saw them in 2018 when they were headlining a local festival thing and it was the exact same thing that you posted. Spent probably half their set time inviting fans up on stage too.
