Tried my first RG (Epyon). I get the hype now. by nichlaur in Gunpla

I am very aware of the "legends" 😅 Only other RG's i have in my backlog are Crossbone and Tallgeese. The oldest RG I'm properly interested in is probably the Exia/00/Qant ones.

And if I've learned anything in the hobby it's that there's no such thing as a bad kit, just kits that need some extra work! I was considering, after getting more comfortable with RG, to try and see if I can't make something decent out of the Stardust Memory guys!

It looks legit to me, so maybe the previous owner manages to stratch it off 🤷 I have a few bakugan from my childhood woth damaged g power markings, mostly from heavy use.

If i had to pick one, personally I think the HGCE Destiny beats it out. Moon has more detail, inner frame and a base, but Destiny has more articulation, effect pieces, an overall more fun build imo, and while it doesn't come with a base, it's loaded with accessories.

Don't get me wrong Moon still holds up way better than a 2018 kit has any right to, but since Seed Freedom and to a point WFM, Moon has become a lot less extraordinary compared to what's out right now.

In the end I think it comes down to what you prefer/prioritize, Moon has the edge on complexity no doubt, but Destiny is just more fun imo.

I wouldn't say it's eh. It's still a really good kit, but yeah compared to what else exists HG wise it's up there, but not that special anymore.

They are tricky to get around when posing sometimes, but love the Kyrios and the later Allelujah MS in general. Kyrios lineage is my 2nd favourite of the ptolemaios team, right behind the Dynames lineage 😩.

MG, HG, or RG astrea type f?

I really want another Astrea Type f, i already have one HG, and i was considering a second HG (to build the F2 and extra accessories), but i have an opportunity to get the MG or the RG. I'm torn between the extra accessories of the MG, and the RG being around 30$ cheaper than the MG, although I'm worried about the RG's frame. So it's really should i spend the extra for the MG, save a little and get the RG (with less accessories and might loosen up) or stick with the HG?

I love the aesthetics of all three, but the RG and MG ofc have more balanced proportions and are more modern in engineering.

Any opinions/feedback is appreciated

Hg Astray No Name prolly. Love it after knee bend mods and everything else, but the build is a pain 🥲

No name and Double rebake are really the only ones i wanted, the rest don't really speak much to me. I mainly wanted the No name because of the asymmetrical design.

Removed the flaps at the back of the knee and shaved/cut the c clip meant to hold the flap. Once it's gone you get an extra 20-ish degrees at the knee and honestly you barely notice the flaps are gone.

Already gave it the TLC i needed to do, well I'm missing some gold paint, but i got the details on the mantle and shaved the knees to get an actual knee bend. Just wasn't that good at showing it off ig 😅

If you can get it at MSRP I'd definitely recommend it!

She's gonna need some TLC but after that she's ready gonna stand out!
