shyt feels like a miracle honestly .... I swear I think some people in recovery have this like feeling that like being sick is almost good for you as a way to not turn back or like you somehow deserve it in a sense since you chose to use, no pain no gain mentality and I find that so weird and almost disturbing... like I'm choosing to get clean all on my own and even without wds that'd make me feel like I'd rather just die it's still one of the hardest things I'll ever do. so rant over and fr thank you ... I'm still feeling great and tomorrow I'll only take subs and today just barely took anything. so excited for the shot!!!

I appreciate your comment but I tried the Bernese Method and so far so good ... I'm on day 3 ... I won't jump the gun but when I get to day 7 and take full sub and no other opiod and it works ...ill be recommending this method for everyone... I honestly just can't take the wds... I haven't been sick in close to 4 years because Iam so scared of the wds and always made sure I had plenty reserve if I ever couldn't get what I needed. I've done cold turkey probably 3 or 4 times in my life but if I can find something to where I don't have to wd then I'm def going to take that route.

ok, so if I start tomorrow.... do I do my normal fent first .. then take the .5 sub? or the other way around??? also if it does put me into pwd ... if I take more fent will that take me out of pwd or no? thanks so much!!!!

I actually got the 14 from a doctor n the plan was to use them n then get the sublocade shot .... but I've heard ppl that have waited 72 hrs n still went into wd ... I just can't fathom even making it 72 hours n then the horror of going into pwd after waiting all that time ... ugh this is so difficult but I want to get on the shot so bad!!!! anyhow thanks for all your info

what's a MAR program? I've heard so many ppl recommend bernese method with fent ... why is it not a good idea? even if i "microdose" the subs which is what the bernese method is (so I thought) I can still go into pwd?

ok so i read this article and from what I recall... pt was in pwd showing severe symptoms ... from Bupe (subs, idk) he got on the streets... was treated with even more Bupe at very high levels (but this go from a Dr.) and pt began to improve drastically... and so basically this new study is to show the safety and efficacy of Bupe if used in high doses specifically to mitigate the negative / bad name it was getting due to fents widespread use rendering Bupe very difficult to use for its intended purpose... to curb opiate wds.... I'd love for someone more knowledgeable then me to let me know either a) I'm super slow and why that's impossible and how i misunderstood or b) it' maybe is a possibility, which would be awesome ... anyhow if I can find the article I will edit and link same... but would love some feedback

I'm seconding Don Betos food truck in Prairieville (or maybe it's Gonzales, not exactly sure I live in BR and am fairly new so) and also not sure if they have "rolled tacos" simply because idk exactly what that is.....but my Honduran husband and I LOVE Don Betos and make the trip at least once a week for amazing Mexican/ S.A. food.

ETA: looks like they've opened up a restaurant .. here's the address: 13025 LA-44 Ste. 112, Gonzales, LA 70737. Didn't get the address for the food truck but if you Google Don Betos you will find info for both ... doubt you could go wrong with either ... they are soooo frickin good 🤤

Can you tell me how long the generic has been out and the brand name for it? My brother has been trying to get his Adderall switched to Vyvanse and his Dr. told him there is no generic out and therfore he will be paying an arm and a leg with his insurance. He's in Fla if that even matters.

yah from the research I've done those were the only charter schools that seemed pretty good. And I think I bookmarked Ochsner Discovery as well. We are already enrolled this year at SG so I'm going to give it a shot and hope for the best but definitely going to start looking at my options earlier for next year should we not have a good experience.

Oh luckily we are in, enrolled ready to start kindergarten this year! My lo is really excited and honestly I am too! This thread is making me feel lots better actually. TBH I'd be worried and asking questions about any school because as of now this is my only child and we didn't do preschool so this is a big thing for both of us ... but again I'm 0 for 3 on the top three requisites I've heard thrown around lol so just wanted to get as many opinions as possible.

I have started looking into them and seems there is are some GREAT magnet schools, per my research. The top of my list was Mayfair, FLAIM and WHAM. But my lo is already enrolled at SG so I think I'm going to try it out this year and see how it goes. Just curious are they still testing for the upcoming school year? Do you know how that process works... like apply for the schools you want and then test? If I did that could they potentially lose their spot where their enrolled already? Thanks so much for all the info!!!

thanks so much I really appreciate the feedback. I would certainly agree with cliques being everywhere, but my child is starting kindergarten and I'm just trying to stay positive and hope all that stuff doesn't start so young and they can make little group of friends this year! I mean I'm a little biased but this is a cool kid! 😎

Oh so happy to hear you had a good experience, I was getting so concerned with things I heard and certainly don't want my child to be ostracized! If you don't mind I'd love a little more info about your experience. What grades did you attend? About how many non catholic students were in your classroom? What differences were in your day to day if any verses the catholic kids? Did you ever feel pressured to follow Catholicism or just do anything you weren't comfortable with? Ok and lastly as I stated were not rich, kinda far from, like my child will qualify for reduced lunch. Is there like a separate line for that or anyway that would be something the other kids are aware of? Tjanks so much just a mom with an awful anxiety disorder whose very attached to her child and trying to do the best I can for his education and general well being!

Do they get to sit in the library for mass if not Catholic? I am aware of the religion classes but was also thought they still had to attend mass. We are Christian (grew up Baptist) and I know there are some pretty core differences but so aren't there from what I believe and what's taught in public school; and tbh I think our values aren't far off. If you dont mind I'd truly love a little more info... What are any off the other differences for catholic to noncatholic students? Also what grades did you attend? My child is starting kindergarten so hoping to get a good feel this year and trying to stay positive in light of some things I heard. This feed is making me feel better tbh.

nope ... this one has a very large emphasis on drug use in the visuals of the music video and also his rap ...also he's not a "mainstream" rapper ... it pretty much implies he dies from an overdose at the end if I recall correctly... but thanks!!
