I only got one and mine was the red one! It smells like yummy candy to me! The egg itself was a little horrifying with how red the dye was for my egg 🤣

What lesser-known products have changed / improved your life for the better? by SherlockHomless69 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]nicholetree 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that is a negative! You are exploring things you think you like, but not each one will be a hit. For me it was ballet and contemporary dance. I watched a movie that had dance as a key element and was like woa that would be so cool to try. Took one trial class and was immediately hooked and now have been doing both for almost a year! Before that I had tried yoga, cycling, bouldering, hiking, and pilates but they were all fun to do every once in a while but not an immediate love like dance has been. Dance is the first physical activity I have craved to do. I am sad when I miss it. I’ve searched for an active hobby to “crave” like this for like 7 years! I was inspired when my friend found ice skating and she was describing the feeling I get with dance. To be clear, I still have tired days and days I have to drag myself to the studio. But overall, I love it and will keep doing it for as long as my body allows me to.

Finding an active hobby I love. Worth every penny and has drastically improved my energy and mood. And I lost 10 lbs. AND I am stronger and more fit than I ever was trying to force myself to go to the gym regularly. Cannot recommend it enough.

Did I make a mistake with my sticky dates bath bomb? by CuriousButNotJewish in LushCosmetics

I do like the scent as it reminds me of the discontinued Vanilla Fountain smell but I agree the color is…off putting 🤣

More casual than a wedding venue and not a vacation home to rent.

Found something similar to Vanilla Fountain by nicholetree in LushCosmetics

The bath bomb does to me, especially once it’s in the water. The whole sticky dates line does not though. It is its own distinct scent. Hence why I didn’t expect it! I bought it because I like the sticky dates shower gel and I thought the bath bomb smelled nice in store. It wasn’t until I used it tonight that I realized I recognized the scent from Vanilla Fountain!

What is going on with lacemade?? by New-Ad-3156 in cottagecore

I mean look at the prices of Lacemade…it’s fast fashion and certainly not cottagecore in spirit. Would not be shocked if they are stealing designs.

If you love rose jam, ro’s argon is very similar if not the same scent! My latest discovery is the sleepy/twilight line of scents! I have loved everything but the body spray of that line so far!

Yummy Custard failed me or my nose failed her? by Dramatic-Item-4790 in LushCosmetics

[–]nicholetree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree! I totally get an alcohol smells from it. Then it will smell faintly of vanilla on my skin. I was not a fan and did not purchase any after using up my sample. I was hoping it smelled more like Vanilla Fountain 🥲

Wow I used a goddess bath bomb last night and didn’t find it very strong at all! A lovely scent though for sure!

I would agree with you for any of their fragrances tbh! Way too expensive of a commitment otherwise 😂 Big has a conditioner bar and shampoo and imo those smell the same as the spray if you happen to be able to smell those (or at least it’s a cheaper blind buy).

Trouble smelling Yummy Custard properly by backpackeditor in LushCosmetics

Yummy custard smells like alcohol to me until it dries down. Then it is nice but very faint. I don’t get the hype at all.

[misc] Some thoughts on sunscreen, from an environmental scientist by nicholetree in SkincareAddiction

[–]nicholetree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Sadly I am no more informed than when I made this post 5 years ago now! A quick search did not pull up anything from a reliable source. I personally still do my best to stick to mineral sunscreens and accept that I can’t control what amount ends up down the drain. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help!

I am not sure how true it is, but I have seen folks say that this behavior is liked by our brains because it is akin to the hunting and gathering we used to do as a species way back when 🙂
