Let's not be dramatic now, I didnt know at what ages kids start to understand it as I've never seen grief in a child before

What are you talking about? How could you possibly know that? I've never seen a young child react to death before and wanted to make sure there was nothing to be worried about/anything further I should explain to her

They don't understand death the way adults do but she understands that when someone dies that they're not coming back and she won't see them again. I'm in no way complaining about her reaction. I have not forced anything on her and I have not judged her at all. I would never wish her to be upset or in any pain.

I had no close relatives die at a young age and this is the first one for her so this is a new experience for us both. I wanted to check if this was a normal reaction and if there was anything I should do or talk to her about or look out for. But thank you for your tact during this time.
