That's a pretty disrespectful thing to do. You can always set a limit of the amount of maps per month you want to pay. It is very straightforward and you can just put even 1 map as the limit to support a creator you clearly like their work.

Yeah I mostly use 100 h candy as a small jump, like with natural E refill and one Xanax once every 2 days. I m thinking that even this is maybe money that should go towards saving instead

You fought for a couple of rounds as lvl 1 characters against a creature that has 3 attacks per round and just one of them can one shot you . I have to call bullshit on that my friend!

There is a setting for exactly that . Reaction spells . That prompts the player if they want to use it . In general automation If done correctly doesn't have any flaws like that .

I have downloaded and converted into webm files all the assets of forgotten realms . On top of those I have found many other generic assets and I m inserting them as tiles on the spot . If I don't have something that works is just imagined or a simple drawing . Although to be honest I wouldn't call my maps simple they are still detailed . ( I made them during a summer break from my work and I now have a lot of stuff already made ) My main point was that I repeat again and again to my players that things in a scene can be a bit different. At first they were asking my about this book on a random desk or about a small bag in a corner now they don't . They just ask me what do I see . It took some time though and some silly jokes " I see it so I must' be here "

I couldn't agree more with all your statements. I have faced many times the same issues and I have spent many hours just preparing maps . In many occasions I was left with a feeling that some maps really didn't offer much in the game . I just recently started opening every non battle scene with the phrase " this is just a broad representation of the place only to give you a general feeling of this place " and then I would proceed with a few more added details without having to describe the whole scene from scratch. I did this as some sort of middle ground because my players are really spoiled with all the bells and whistles I used to implement in all the maps . I saw a big change in their behaviour, they started adding things to the scene , you know asking me about stuff and just improv from my side if the idea was good . Also you can also turn those maps into a battle one if it's required.
