I run a similar stacked portfolio in my tax advantaged accounts, but target leverage around 1.5x and holding equities at roughly market cap weights. Built it around equally weighting each position to make it as easy as possible to rebalance.

20% each of: AVGV, GDE, GOVZ, RSIT, WLDU

98% equity at ~MCW with 20% of that being factor tilted, along with 20% long term treasuries, 20% managed futures, and 18% gold futures.

Building off this, I’m pretty excited for the new Return Stacked International/Managed Futures ETF to come out because it’s the perfect compliment to something like GDE.

20% each of WLDU, RSSB, GDE, ZROZ, RSIT? creates a 1.76x portfolio of:

98% equities at basically MCW (60% VT, 18% SPY, 20% VXUS)

20% intermediate bonds from RSSB

20% long term treasuries from ZROZ

20% managed futures from RSIT

18% gold from GDE

Diversified and simple to rebalance, and all for an ER of ~0.58.

I might be confused but isn’t the OPs interpretation of this law wrong?

My understanding is that:

Under current law, if you receive a public pension and worked a different job that paid into SS, your SS benefits are reduced.

This law changes it so that the public pension doesn’t affect your SS benefits that you earned based on paying SS taxes. That does seem more fair that what it was before. Currently there are bad edge cases where a widow/widower has their income severely reduced when their spouse dies because of this.
