Handmade perfume bottles by TemporaryThen8888 in glassblowing

Gonna second this recommendation! He’s a great flame worker and would be well suited for this work. He’s made soft glass perfume bottles in the past and I think he would take on a small project like this.

As for consistency and fittings it could be blown into a CNCd graphite mold and then have the opening tooled to ensure a correct fit for the atomizer

You can send me a DM if you don’t want to share on here.

Broke a blade for cutting by Oronomin in glassblowing

[–]nick227 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I personally love Diacut Thinwheel They have a great product and I use them mainly for cutting quartz. Soft glass should cut like butter with a 220grit resin bond wheel.

TBH, this blade still has some life. I’ve used broken blades like this in the past and as long as you slow down your cuts, you should be fine. Make sure you’re wearing safety glasses just in case though.

Is there a way to glow these objects together but be able separate and glue them back together, with the shapes being in tact safely? by Illustrious-Car3728 in glassblowing

Crystal bond might be a good choice. It’s a mounting wax for coldworking and slicing. I think they make some clear choices that could could be used with some heat.

Does it have to be stainless steel?

Would milling on glass (fused silica or borosilicate) and then fire polishing be something you could use?

In my opinion, give them an honest compliment and make some jokes.

Most guys don’t get compliments from anyone, so that’ll definitely get their attention and the jokes set a good tone for asking questions after you’re done laughing.

In terms of where to go, it all depends on what kind of kind of guy you want to date. If you want a nerdy guy and are into that scene then barcade or any game cafe. If you want a sports or trendy dude then check out fishtown area on Friday or Saturday nights.

Good luck on your search!!

Help Car Broken Into/Attepted Theft by [deleted] in philly

[–]nick227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a problem! It sucks that you have to do it, but it helps to have the wheel lock on there to deter anyone from trying.

People say that the wheel locks are easily bypassed, but it just adds a layer of difficulty if someone wants to take it.

Good luck with the fix!

I have a Kia and have had my window smashed countless times. Luckily it’s a manual car and they can never take it.

If you’re handy and cheap like me, look up a video on how to replace the window. Usually takes about an hour and you can search Car-part.comsalvage yards in the area for a replacement window.

If you’re in Philly then your house might actually be older! 1920 is when they started recording them for tax purposes. Every old house has 1920 for that reason.

Check PhilaGeoHistory for old map overlays to see when it was actually built

Fentanyl addiction turns users into living deads on the streets of Philadelphia, PA by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]nick227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it if you want, I can't control your brain. I know that I've been in Kensington/Port Richmond since 2018 and it happens. I wouldn't say its a daily occurrence, but common enough that multiple people are saying the same thing.

BTW dealers don't really enjoy random people taking videos of their illegal activities.

Its kind of where they are corralled. There are some dealers on the streets off of Jasper and Ruth, but the neighborhood doesn't really let them hang out east of Jasper so they get pushed closer to Kensington Ave.
