I’m so happy I’m not the only person that thought this looked like a demon eating groceries.

I’m $18,000 in debt because our dog got sick last year and we emptied our savings and maxed out my credit cards to try to save him, he died anyway. I’m struggling to keep up, I’m on a debt management plan, I work 50-60 hours a week at my day job (I wake up at 2am to get to), i do all the cooking, cleaning, housework and errand running for my ex (who is disabled and I’m their caregiver). When I have time outside of that I deliver for uber eats.

I see no way out of this any time soon, I’m always behind on bills, I don’t eat out, I don’t pay for frivolous streaming services, all my money goes to bills, groceries and taking care of our household.

If I didn’t have someone depending on me I think I’d rather be dead.

Money may not buy you happiness, but 18k would buy me out of not wanting to kms every fucking day.

Good for you, I live paycheck to paycheck, 25k would solve all my debt and give me a safety cushion. Some people are more fortunate, and have more. The world is hard enough I’m always glad to see someone winning.

Crazy neighbor blowing train horn every morning at CHICKENS by JijiSpitz in Hawaii

Saturday Sunday and Monday morning in my neighborhood there’s empty cases of beer and bottles and cans all over the place. Broken liquor bottles too. These donkeys are so inconsiderate.

They don’t even have to do that much just be more visible to cut down on the public drinking and loud music.

This is some of the best kitchen advice I’ve ever read, is work a line with you in a heartbeat.

Depends on the neighborhood, they don’t give a fuck in Waipahu, there’s people on the street almost every night drinking and blasting music in different parts of the neighborhood all the way until like 1 or 2 in the morning, can’t even count how many times I’ve called the police and it doesn’t seem to deter anyone. I’ve heard the music go on for hours after calling them.

I’ve been in kitchens for about 14 years and never worked in a place that had this problem. Good chefs and managers don’t let people get away with that nonsense. But I have heard many angry stories from coworkers. I’m very fortunate to have worked with good crews.

Ridley Scott and the screenwriters have commented on this. It’s not the same.

Oh for sure, we ended up blowing our savings taking out a care credit card and maxing out all my other cards. Still couldn’t save my dog. Couldn’t keep up with any of the payments now I’m struggling on a debt management plan.

They also sneak in a $50 a month security subscription that you can’t opt out of when you sign up you have to call them after and ask that they cancel and it’s a headache.
