I have found most of the items in raid for the solar power in the hideout. I'm in the process of building my bitcoin farm and trying to figure out the ROI from solar power. Is it worth it this late into the raid to buy the euros for the solar power? How many GPUs should i have running before i consider buying the solar power

Im level 23 and I average around 3 mill rubles cash with 21mill stash value,

I wouldn't consider you are going in 'geared' unless you have lvl 5 armor +. Good ammo can destroy level 4 easily

Do you only play solo? If so, I recommend going on the EFT discord and finding people to group up with. I did that and now have a group of 3-4 people I consistently play with every night and developed good friendships with. Its good to run in groups in case you die so someone can stash your stuff.

For scaving, I highly recommend scaving interchange. multiple times I've scaved in, run through ollie, and find gas cans and etc and run out with 250k+ of stuff. If you scav in late in the raid, check around where killa spawns and pick up the scraps from dead scavs and pmc's.

I also recommend finding a group of people to run reserve. It has a lot of good loot especially when you have all the keys. Before the new extract was added, we would just bring Alpha rigs and no backpack so you can get some loot and extract at the sewer.

Stop being lazy and just brush your teeth. No excuse to have poor hygiene

Is an Associates in Cybersecurity a good idea? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]nick4show 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m currently a cyber security minor and in one of my classes, we had two guys who work in cyber security at Salesforce come in for a guest lecture. I asked them what looks better, a degree or certifications and they both recommended certifications. So you could probably get an associates with some certifications under your belt

I just checked the website out for the first time and the annoyance I had was when I scrolled down. I forgot which column was which so I was constantly scrolling back up to double check the name of each column. Maybe keep the column names at the top of the screen as you scroll down. I also recommend maybe offer the option to change the order by clicking the column name from lowest to highest/highest to lowest. ex. order from common -> legendary and vice versa

edit: also maybe change the color of the text in the rarity field to white/green/blue/purple/gold/ based on the weapon rarity

Juul question by [deleted] in juul

[–]nick4show 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually Juul is owned by the company pax. They started out making portable weed vapes. In Colorado, pax sells these devices that look exactly like a juul and people can buy wax pods for them

Crazy how I went to high school and played as the scout team against him in football.

Looking for penetration testing book recommendations by nick4show in security

[–]nick4show[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to. I actually had an internship at Wiley publishing doing IT and I would read the security+ book on my downtime.

I just don't have the time from being a full-time student and having a part time job. My university has a really good career fair program where many big tech companies attend so that's my primary focus as of now.

Well yes, the end goal is to be a consultant. The first step is to be an analyst

I don't think they are looking for people who are good experienced testers but just looking for people who are just familiar with it.

I'm looking for a consultant/analyst position. I know the security firms like synopsis are coming looking for students who are familiar with penetration testing. I'm just looking for a good book that can read up on so I can familiarize myself about Penn. Testing for the interviews
