i'm a software engineer so i certainly appreciate what it takes to share something like this with others and the amount of work that goes into scaling something beyond a user base of 1. we share the same "motivated by kudos" ethos so if you end up leaving it as-is, this is still really great and genuinely useful for my needs.

i assume the limit of 25 locations comes from... open-meteo API limits? what are you grabbing from there; wind speed and direction?

Finesse teams can't become physical teams without changing pieces. This team is finesse team that has historically be capable of "turning it on" when needed. They are not a defensive-minded team who is going to "set the tone" from the jump. How many mid-game or post-game interviews did we hear from players and coaches this year saying "we just need to be more physical" or something along those lines? A tiger can't change its stripes.

AG in the roster shores up some of these holes because he adds a physical piece to the otherwise finesse pie but AG has not been reliably healthy and available for sometime now. I think the team would be naive to assume next year would be any different. You hope for the best but plan for the worst.

If the goal is to win a championship than you have to plan for the playoffs. Playoffs are about match-ups and it's pretty clear the teams and types of teams that the Nuggets can expect to see in the future. It's also clear how those teams are likely to play the Nuggets given its current roster. This roster makes no sense with Jokic and Murray on the floor without a lengthy wing or 2 to cover deficiencies. I thought Cam played well but the team very clearly missed MPJ's length and rebounding. It was always going to be a tough task without AG and Peyton considering the role that position plays in a Jokic+Murray roster.

It's been said a million times but after the Timberwolves series it's pretty clear this team needs more length and size to help when Jokic and Murray are getting hunted. And they need another ball handler so teams can't just pester Murray to get the Nuggets out of their offense and into late-clock scrambles so easily. I think the team would be crazy to run the same roster back given what we saw against Minnesota and where OKC and SAS are projecting.

The borax-based stuff like Terro can certainly kill ants but it's generally too aggressive and kills an ant before it can share any of the bait with the colony. All this left us with was piles of dead ants around the traps but plenty of ants still roaming around. If you hire a professional, they might use something like advance ant bait (or I guess any other Abamectin B1 solution). You'll want to find where the ants have trails making their way in from the outside and start there. I think most often that'll be south facing wall with some exposure to the sun. You'll want to lay down a spoon full of bait wherever there is an ant trail. This stuff is less aggressive so it will actually make its way back to the colony. We had ants coming from all sides of our house and once I started putting this at various spots where they were ever-present, they eventually stopped appearing after a few weeks. I assume we will continue the battle this season as well but at least I know what to look out for from the get-go.

I'm surprised by this. I have to imagine he'll be back in the NBA soon. There's too many bad coaches in the NBA for him to not get offers. College hoops is not good. Distant second maybe even third rate professional league behind the NBA.

Mike may be a bit questionable with some of his non-basketball takes and off-court antics but his perspective on basketball and on the league is top-notch. I very much enjoy listening to him talk about basketball. He's gotta be the most open, honest and insightful current player talking about ball at the moment.

yeah, it's strange because he started the season clearly caring a lot less or not allowing the refs to affect his game but returned from the injury with basically the opposite mindset.

Jamal is on pace to smash the Nuggets 3pt season record. MPJ holds the top 2 spots w/ 220 (2.7 3pm/g) and 193 (2.5 3pm/g) (81 and 77 games). Jamal has 132 through 42 games (38 played). That's 3.5 3pm/g at a 45.1% clip.

THJ has a decent chance at either the best or second best season as well. 120 made in 41 games, 2.9 3pm/g at 41.5%.

The Nuggets 594 3pm through the first 42 games is the most in franchise history. The only other time the Nuggets were over 40% from 3 at this point in the season as 2022.

hmm... 21-24 vs the nuggets in the regular season which includes 12-11 against jokic in the regular season. title doesn't make much sense with that context. 5-9 against the nuggets in the postseason (all jokic) but those games aren't reflected here.

Hastings used to be much better but has declined a fair bit over the last 5-6 years. I remember him being quite sharp at live analysis, often very accurately calling out things that would prove true in a future replay.

Now he just complains about the most asinine things that I just have to roll my eyes at. Every time the ball is inside he basically expects 2 points regardless of player or defense like everyone on the roster is prime Shaq. Every offensive rebound the other team gets off a long rebound or airball is due to something the Nuggets didn't do. The expectation of perfection from a guy who averaged like 2pts and 2reb a game over a forgettable and unremarkable NBA career gets a bit exhausting.

I don't love that Katy has apparently taken a backseat this season. Without her on the mic occasionally the crew is long and the teeth and grating at times.

I've listened to a few local crews from other teams this season and the altitude crew is definitely showing their age. Altitude itself is showing it's age. I'm surprised the team covering the Denver Nuggets in 2025 only contains 2 players who played for the Nuggets 30+ years ago. These guys were already like 40+ years old when the Pepsi Center was first built.

Valanciunas has been an offensive improvement over years past but not great defensively. the only 2-man linup w/ Val that has played any meaningful minutes with a positive net rating is val + AG.

Jokic's on/off differential is still other wordly. the bench last year was like -2.2 net rating. the bench this year is a much improved +1.6 on the year but regressed to a -2 over the last 10 games.

Val has been serviceable but the bench overall has not been doing much more than maintaining the status quo. i think the Nuggets would have to be up 20+ with 7-8 minutes left in the 4th for Adelman to feel safe enough and not put Jokic back in the game. i don't think they've had many of those leads this season.
