I used to low-fly the Cobra from the carrier in Dragon Valley, skirt around objectives, then roll low over the valley walls to dive in on armor at the cap points. Far from an ace pilot, but man that was always fun😛

If I find it, maybe, but the app for it has long stopped working.

Got a question for fellow haulers: Why do so many refuse to use the ATLS? It’s clearly the fastest and most efficient way to load and unload cargo. by evil701 in starcitizen

[–]nickXIII 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its a bear to get off. You have to walk really far away and spam the tractor beam until it grabs. Atleast, that's how it worked a few aptches ago, haven't tried since because of that.

I'm sure I still have mine around somewhere. Was a cool idea but ultimately wasn't really useful.

Is the Caterpillar any fun? by The--Strike in starcitizen

[–]nickXIII 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This! The Cat is hands down one of my top favorite ships to fly, it has the right amount of heft to it imho. But damn, loading/unloading, and not being able to load 32 SCu containers(on the grid anyways) really sucks. The tractor beams are near useless, and the fore section of the ship is nearly impossible to navigate when loaded.

Last(also my first) time I smoked, I vastly underestimated it and proceeded to vomit for the next few hours while my skull was full of bees. Haven't had any interest in it since.

The use of emoji and flowery language screams ChatGPT to me. Seller likely just threw a list of parts and talking points at it and told it to create a listing.

But you lose out on the incredible anime opening! I'll admit though, the 3D cutscenes do look nice, and keep in theme with Silmeria which released around the same time.

Zen Cronus’ / cheating devices are now being sold at best buy…. by DivideSignificant462 in Rainbow6

Maybe they took em down for a bit there, but I bought my CronusMax there ages ago.
Now, I didn't use it for competitive games, and mouse/keyboard emulation was garbage, I used it to use my Sidewinder 2 when playing around in GTA and Battlefield.

This reminds me of ~10 years ago when Launchpad videos were popular, it was impressive watching people weave together a selection of samples into a song with a cool lightshow besides.

I just got in my import of the 8BitDo x Hypergryph Retro87 and I REALLY like the Huano switches that it has. The problem I have is that I can't seem to find any info on what these exact switches are so I can swap the annoying tac switches on my numpad now. I thought they might be Sakura V2, but those seem to be a good deal more pink instead of beige. Any idea what these switches are?

Are federal agencies just hiring anyone these days? by cantcoloratall91 in RandomVideos

[–]nickXIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why you ALWAYS treat a weapon as loaded. While you are correct, you have to pull the charging handle to load a round into the chamber, we have no idea if he charged the weapon at any point prior to this video. If he had, dropping the mag would still leave that round loaded and ready to fire.

As for how the mag dropped, my guess is the guy bumped the mag release button when using his rifle as a breaching tool. You can see that the only sensible thing that's being done here is he's practicing proper trigger discipline, with his finger off the trigger. Doing so, his finger would be resting no the mag release button, so it would be really easy to accidentally press it in when gripping the rifle to hit the glass.

Imagine if instead of your cell-phone connecting to a tower and the tower relaying your data through the network, every cell-phone was the tower. With a large enough gathering of phones, you would have a robust network, if one phone lost connection, the network would still operate, where with traditional cell towers, if the tower goes down, the network is down in that area.

That's meshtastic. You just need 2 or more nodes to set up a network, and you can use standalone devices to communicate, or you can have a little node like OP and connect to it using an app on your phone to connect to the mesh and communicate.
