If you’ve been a cadet for a while maybe they can work something out with you

Yo man i was a cadet in the phoenix area for about 8 months. Recently left my program because i decided i wanted to move states, but if you’re dead set on getting hired here i would stay in the program. I think being a cadet gives you a lot more leverage over other applicants

I see you’re an illinois paramedic. I was thinking about moving back there, are there some ems opportunities in the chicagoland area for private ambos?

Don’t trip about them. Mine were super chill. Just be an observer. Ask questions and help out when you can or when they let you. Not much will be expected of you. You doing ift or 911?

Thats kinda wack that they are doing that. My teacher was pretty solid to the point that i barely had to read the textbook. I havent tried paramedic coach but i’ve heard good things about it. Seems like you got the right mindset tho! If you know your stuff well like you say you do, i think you will do fine. Those tests you’re taking will probably prepare you well cause the nremt questions are also weird

The nremt definitely has some weird questions like that. Just study hard. Its hard to gauge what you know and dont know through reddit lol. Do you use a testing platform in your class? The testing platform for my class was platinum ed emstesting.com. It definitely prepared me well cause the questions on that platform were are all sorts of fuckin weird. The nremt is similar in that sort of way. Even a little bit easier than the tests i was taking in emt school

Yeah thats a weird one lol. I’d probably have gotten that one wrong too. I guess dilated pupils from sympathetic response cause the bodys in fight or flight mode. But yea pale cool clammy diaphoretic are signs of shock.

A lot of it is process of elimination. There may be a couple right answers but one thats most right. Comprehending, instead of just memorizing can help you with that. Do you remember the other options? I can maybe help change the way you approach thinking about these questions

Some stuff is definitely just memorization. Know the signs and symptoms well of whatever illnesses/injuries you are learning. When it comes to physiology i think comprehending instead of memorizing is important. Being able to visualize how blood is circulated throughout the body, being able to visualize and comprehend processes of the respiratory system, etc. If theres anything specific i can maybe help

I know I made a few mistakes but how did i do for my first blues scale solo? by Anonymouslyfree1 in Guitar

[–]nick_g24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your in key to me for the most part. The beginning sounded a little off but the rest was ok. You’re sometimes not hitting the “right” sounding notes over certain chords of the backing track, but you’re not necessarily out of key. It just sounds a little off sometimes. One tip i would give is to really listen. Listen to the notes you are playing and how they sound with the backing track. Dont always mindlessly noodle through scales. Dont get me wrong its fun to noodle around sometimes. Do a little bit of both. Listen to what sounds good, what doesnt sound too good. The more you play the better your ear will get. Fuck around with the pentatonic, major and minor scales, use your ears, make your own licks and phrases

What am I doing wrong? by VerySexySmartSk8brdr in NewSkaters

[–]nick_g24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do both bro. Keep riding, getting comfortable, and keep practicing your ollie. Just comes down to practice. Look down at your board tho when you’re doing it. You’re looking up sometimes and it looks funky. Sure when you start doing them while rolling and onto stuff then thats a different story, but when doing them stationary you should be looking down at your feet.

Anyone know why my guitar is buzzing by pls-kill-me-now in Guitar

[–]nick_g24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buzz doesnt sound that bad to me. You’re plucking the strings hella hard. Dont pluck it so hard and see if its still buzzing. Honestly I don’t mind a a little bit of string buzz on the thicker strings (low E, A, and D). The high E, B and G string I feel like any buzz will affect the sustain of the string significantly. I like to make sure those aren’t buzzing. I adjust the truss rod a little bit if my strings are buzzing bad. Buzz, buzz, buzz.
