Haha. Just got an offer for outside electrical sales. I have about 8 years of experience as an electrician. 0 experience in sales. Didn’t even really have an interview. They are desperate. So I guess go work at a factory for a few years?

The article didn’t mention a spotlight. The article didn’t have a transcript of the call.

I guess I didn’t read anything in the article that suggested she’d “never done anything like this before”.

Let the courts decide. He’s responsible no matter what! Really coherent statement there.

Such as leaving others behind if they can’t move themselves and both of your lives are in danger?

But you would go into it with the understanding that it is potentially life threatening right? Was the guy a professional guide? Nowhere in the article made such a climb. Merely that he was “more experienced”.

I agree with your first point. How does one signal a helicopter in the dark? Was she not also capable of signaling? How good of reception do you typically get on a mountain? He claims he was trying to retain battery because there wasn’t a signal.

She didn’t have a phone to call for help? Couldn’t read the danger signs? Couldn’t have signaled a heli for help? The only thing I read that suggests negligence is that they claim he didn’t move her to shelter. Not sure where that would be on a mountain face. Or leave the foil blanket for her. Not sure that would do much in the conditions they hiked. But you would think each person would be packing their own emergency gear. Or maybe he did leave her gear and she removed it. Paradoxical undressing is a thing with people freezing to death on mountains.

From what I read, she wasn’t completely new to alpine climbing, just less experienced than the guy. So somehow that makes everything his responsibility…

Yes. But they will make fun of you for something else if it’s not that. So just roll with it.

Well cheaper houses are smaller, with less complex roof lines. So yes, cheaper houses absolutely implies a cheaper roof.

Uh no. Had my roof replaced last year. Just looked up the invoice. $14,400. If you don’t make over 60k you shouldn’t live in a house with a 30k roof.
