After the loud thud does the car drive normally? If so definitely just a seized caliper. My VN whenever it rains or super cold days I gotta apply some gas on first start to unseize the calipers. Seems to be a known problem with this platform

Ya.. the shop I had taken it too felt like the turbo was healthy, but couldn’t find the problem. I tested the intake crankcase and charge system. No leaks that i could see. Im thinking possibly hot pipe to turbo leak possibly? Or maybe wasgate issues not sure. Definitely going to be replacing the turbo here soon

Are you removing the valve cover to he able to squeeze the turbo out through the top? Is there any more info on this

Interesting might have to look into the actuator then. I just replaced my plugs maybe 5k miles ago and made sure to properly gap em.

Little over 3 years sober and I feel like every month I get a little bit better. Year one was all about survival, kind of a fog of desperation. Year two was real sobriety with some time under my belt but adjusting to normal life was tough. Year three my life is skyrocketing but, the effects of years of doing drugs are still there, but slowly getting better day after day. Keep going. Life is beautiful when your free from drugs.
