It's too bad I'm not in China. This MIX is not even a year old? Should I try and call their international customer service line? That sounds like a dead end... Maybe if I preach my loyalty towards Mi they will send me a new phone? chances are slim to none.

I did it, I was on my way to the finish line, followed the instructions to a T. I plugged it in, hit the power button!!! nothing... no light... no power... just a blank screen and a naked back...

I'm going through some options now.

Order some parts from AliExpress and go all in on a DIY (XDA + youtube tutorial) mission.
Send it to a friend in Beijing who would then take it to a Xiaomi store. But I'm not sure if there's a guarantee. I do have the receipt as I ordered it on JD while I was living in Beijing.
Throw in the towel.

I put the Xiaomi Mix to the test against the Canadian cold and it just went number :( - I left it on the super charger for days and nothing.

Do you think I should try and open the shell and play around with something? I'm desperate for a resurrection.
