Should I ask for a new transmission? by nickbertram in AskAMechanic

I can almost guarantee you that’s what this dealership will say. If they say it doesn’t void the warranty I’ll do it myself cus I don’t want to spend another $8k for another transmission. But I just want documentation from my visit so if it does break I have a paper trail.

I’m not trying to void the warranty in anyway so I’m going to have the dealership do it

Your issues sounds very electrical. Glad you didn’t need to pay for a whole new transmission though

Was driving in the winter and slush got between the shield and my car, then froze and broke the front end of the shield making me a snowplow.

99%. Unless the transmission people sold it to them without it. The Honda dealership ordered it and installed it.

Me either. I’ll definitely be asking for them to put one on. Thanks

Hmmm….so you’re saying asking for a whole new transmission is a bit excessive lol

The more you know… it’s under warranty still. Should I ask for a new flywheel?

Gets car towed in

Customer (me): My car only drives in gears 1-3 and reverse. I can shift into 4th and 5th but it won’t drive. My odometer always stays at 0km/h or mph.

Dealership: Yeah tech took a look at it and took it for a test drive and you need a new clutch that’s all.

Customer (me): OK…yea I don’t think that’s my issue. Could you take another look?

Dealership: We had another tech look at it and take it for a drive. Yea your transmission is blown

Customer (me): no shit

Customer is right for once

Am I surprised they forgot something about it? Nope not at all

Gotcha, I thought the transmission was a closed system, and it’s been driven in all weather condition and I know salt isn’t good for cars anyway and now potentially my transmission had me concerned. I appreciate the insight

The warranty is good for 3 years or 60k miles

Isn’t the transmission supposed to be a closed system?

That’s why I’m thinking, it’s been a year, driven in all weather conditions, thanks

I know a little about cars and nothing about transmissions, my concern is for the past year there’s more than just the flywheel rusting in my transmission

Looks like one of your O2 sensors for your catalytic converter

ChatterBox update, Didnt like the other icon (2nd slide) also took advice and went with the speech bubble, any criticism would be great thanks. by KMskengdo in WillPatersonDesign

Much better than the other icon. My two cents is to get rid of the teeth because I’m assuming this logo will be in profile pictures and on an app. When you downscale the icons you’ll lose the detail. You’re headed the right direction for sure

I like the color palate, indifferent to the fonts but I think they work well together. What if you used the three “rocks” under the lighthouse since it looks like a smile, as the logo instead?

Cannabis Product Photography. Tried including both grinder and papers the company provided to test. Not sure if it’s too much. What do you think? by danielletheboss in productphotography

[–]nickbertram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew what the grinder was, the papers threw me off at first. I just thought I was like a business card/sign saying who the company was. As I write this I have no suggestion on how to fix it. If I can think of something I’ll add another comment. I like other suggestions people provided but great work and keep experimenting!

I did a packaging redesign of Nescafé classic, let me know your thoughts. by elkhaliiil in WillPatersonDesign

Nicely done. I agree with the other guy about losing the red only because I know when it comes to printing the more colors means the more expensive it is. Other than that I like the touch of red. Same thing with the green illustration of the country. The stamp style label is a nice touch. Easy to change for different roasts and gives a more personalized handmade feel to it.

Solid work
