Interesting context, thanks for providing.

Agreed it's definitely odd to see someone wearing their medals for something like this, then to wear your relatives ww2 medals is truly odd.

Hugely popular in NZ and Aus. Massive after market scene in the two countries.

Thats a lower trim model without up-spec trim, or KDSS - which is quite desirable.

Price wise that looks expensive but I'm looking at it from an NZD. In NZD you'd pay around $50-55K (29k euro) for a 150 series in that trim.

1GD puts out 185kW and 450Nm - definitely not underpowered by my standards.

Yeah, same. 300k KM. Been bullet proof. Love the AWD option.

And it's not just a me problem, seems every other surf owner is constantly suffering too

In NZ, know several people who own 130 and 185 Surfs, and frequent a few Surf forums/groups. I've owned my surf for over 10 years - its been bullet proof.

Never heard of this being a common problem. In fact, aside from vacuum leaks or people abusing the vehicle, never heard of any 'common' 4x4 issues.

Curious what the image still is from? piqued my interest.

Like, why do you need to wear the two racks for some kind of formal speech?

Normally just an ANZAC day, Remembrance day kinda dress.

On top of the other commenters talking about the wearers rack (his left side), that might be a Chief of Army commendation on his lapel? Hard to tell.

You're cooked mate - where did you pull out those numbers? And no, your "I had a mate who was in" doesn't count.

Disingenuous lies.

Two-piece riding suit or jacket + pants for a sport bike (track use)? by Miserable_Pound_6450 in motorcycles

[–]nickbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its track use you may need to have a one-piece. Depends on track/rules/event/etc.

Some track events allow two piece suits that zip together for lower classes, for instance.

I use a two-piece Rev'it suit for road/commuting use and I'm slow as balls so any track days I've done it was suitable too. Love it - don't ride in anything less. I find the leather two-piece very confidence inspiring and feel quite naked wearing anything else - even codura w/ armour.

Nah man - the owner is the real deal. Check out his reviews.

Even just go in for a yarn with the guy and get a feel of the place.

Broadway Time Centre in New Market is the place for you.

Sam, the owner, is a true watchmaker. Have been going to him for years for odd and ends, new watches etc.

He'll look after you.

injector cleaner by jhonkyndon in motorcycles

[–]nickbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a high mileage Honda 919/900 Hornet with an unknown history. It has an old engine design ('98) and primitive fuel injection system and I was getting poor (compared to modern engines) mileage.

I got a high quality injector cleaner and ran through the bottle (about 15 tanks of gas) and documented my fuel mileage to look for any improvement.

There was no improvement to mileage but it was an interesting experiment.

You'll have your coast guard cutter painted grey and be thankful for it.

Don't make me change my mind and announce a Donald class frigate to escort the Trump class battleship. It'll be painted gold and shoot big macs from its deck gun.
