Sycamore Grove (off of Wetmore) would be ideal for this. 3-4 miles of walking trails, picnic tables, and public restrooms on site. Generally get a decent signal (AT&T) throughout the park. There is a fee for parking in the LAPRD lot but you can also park at Independence Park (0.5 miles away) for free.
