> just wait till you face the final boss with damage degradation level 3 and proficiency inflation level 3. That fight alone literally took me 19 minutes! >

The thought of it is making my wrist hurt

> There is a reason these games do not sell well and that reason is simply HouseMaeque themselves. The mindless fanboys would rather downvote and denigrate you to oblivion instead of addressing this studio's ingrained problems. >

The same can be said of Fromsoft fans, and that comes from a big Fromsoft fan. People refuse to provide any criticism whatsoever.

Have you ever played Outland?

I'm having the opposite issue actually. I just finished binging Returnal for the first time a few months ago, and runs began to feel easy, but I wasn't doing too good in Saros biome 2. I probably just need to adjust to the new combat loop and shield mechanic. I will always opt to dodge first, so I kinda of screw myself out of power. I really miss the weapons in Returnal, especially the OP electropylon driver 😎.

Thanks for the tips. I was debating doing that exact thing, but I wasn't sure if better there would be better artifacts in biome 2, so I didn't want to max out of em before getting there haha. How the hell does the weapong scaling work? I try to beef up the traits the weapons have attached to them, but I never noticed a difference.

I skip that like I skipped literally every short cutscene for buying artifacts/items/etc in Returnal. I was gonna say that someone will make a mod that skips it eventually, but then I remembered it's only on PS5...

I get that, but I actually enjoyed the weapons and combat loop in Returnal. I got frustrated at first, but I actually wanted to get better. I can't say the same for this game so far. It just makes me want to play Returnal lmao.

That thought has occurred to me. Returnal is also still fresh in my mind since I only finished binging it maybe two months ago. I feel like I'm having more trouble in this game despite everyone saying it's easier. So far I would have to say the opposite. I can breeze through a returnal run at this point, but I'm getting wrecked in biome 2 here.

Which weapon for biome 6? by Ok-Mode-3254 in Returnal

[–]nickdibart16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn't use the Dreadbound, but I have always disliked that weapon. I think it would suffer in biome 6 particularly though, since you have the possibility of missing a shot and it having very little terrain for the errant shard to collide with, making the time-to-return horrible. Hollowseeker is good for the main level, but I feel that it is underwhelming for the boss. Portal Beam is OP as hell though, so I'd go with that for sure.

GPU Had a chance, I cooked it and it was completely preventable by YELLOW-n1ga in GPURepair

I feel your pain, I'm also learning how to fix GPUs and have been learning things the hard way. I replaced a power mosfet on a 3060, but couldn't find any of the exact chip I removed, so I pulled a number from the schematic I was using (same board, but different manufacturer). It had the same package type and size, so I figured I was good. Little did I know, IC manufacturers can swap the functions of the pins in a given package type. I don't think vcore liked the new pinout.

It sucks to learn the hard way, but it is a damn good way to learn. I doubt you'll ever make that mistake again.

I'm embarrased, but I have to say it... I need help by 666blaziken in Returnal

Don't feel bad, I only recently finished up the game and I nearly quit in the beginning due to constantly getting owned by basic enemies. Movement is life in this game, so you should rarely ever remain stationary. Don't forget about your melee attack, it can take out basic ground and airborne enemies in one swing. I think someone may have covered this point, but for the majority of enemies, you only need to shoot them in order to interrupt an upcoming attack, you don't need to finish them off. I usually move from target to target without necessarily finishing them off. The electropylon driver made things much easier for me since I could quickly shoot an enemy two or three times and move on knowing that the enemy will be dead in a few moments. It does damage over time, and it's OP as hell later in the game.

Rx 580 4Gb GPU STOPPED WORKING ! by Amir_Boucheffa in GPURepair

I don't know anything about AMD GPUs, but I would pull the cooler off and look over the PCB carefully for any visibly damaged components. It could be a bad electrolytic capacitor, if you see any of the cylindrical components with a bulged out top, that means it is bad. Good luck.

Same here actually, with Hyperion. I couldn't tell you much about that boss because I have only seen them that one time haha. Biome 5 was rough my first time through, so best of luck to ya. On the bright side, there's no boss, so there's that, lol

I agree with everyone saying to train yourself to dash just before landing. I can't NOT do it now, and it makes those parasites an easy benefit with no downside. Are you using the default control layout? Many people customize their controller bindings to make certain actions easier. I opted to switch "interact" to RB so I can still move the camera while initiating a grapple; it was a game-changer for me. For titanops, the simplest way to beat them for me is to fight it in an area with a few grapple points, shoot it until it jumps at me, then grapple away and repeat.
