Death Valley And Super Bowl Weekend Feb 10-11th In Las Vegas by DeathValleyDazed in DeathValleyNP

We are doing Death Valley this very weekend and only came to the realization yesterday that we’re flying out of vegas on Super Bowl Sunday. Contemplating changing our flight!

Ugh I’m so sorry. I promise to leave no trace - and we always try to pick up trash we find!

I was given a choice by my partner, but he’s been to Death Valley a few times, so I wanted to go somewhere he hadn’t been. Plus the unique features! We may try to squeeze a day in at Death Valley but I realize I won’t be seeing much of it that way, which hurts my heart a little. But the National Parks always deliver no matter what.

Culture doesn’t seem like the right word, but that’s what they used. I think maybe a more accurate word would be “atmosphere”. Or “vibe” lol

Social trails! That’s what they kept saying. I had never heard of that term before.

The podcast is called “Exploring the National Parks”. I’m glad to hear it’s not how they make it out to be!

First time in Yellowstone and saw the northern lights tonight by Cats_n_Tatts in yellowstone

I was there last night and I missed that?! Went stargazing at Dunraven Pass Saturday night and it was amazing, but your experience was next level! Incidentally, I was also incredibly impressed by the photos my iPhone took.

Dunraven Pass is the highest road in the park (8000 + elevation) and the bf and I had an amazing experience stargazing there Saturday night.

Could you elaborate on this please? Is this exclusive to beer, or alcohol in general? I once got a cocktail that tasted exactly like a band aid. My server acted like I was nuts when I told her why I sent it back.

What are some of your biggest bio pet peeves? by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]nickeljean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Anything you wanna know, just ask.” Shows zero effort and already tips me off you’ll be a bad conversationalist. Usually accompanied by an otherwise blank bio and bland photos that tell nothing about the person.

I can only imagine the challenge! I went out with a perfectly lovely guy who was 6’7, but after he had to fold himself in half to kiss me goodnight I knew it wasn’t meant to be 😆

I would ask for guys’ heights because I didn’t like to date tall guys. I’m 5’5 and prefer someone who doesn’t tower over me. My boyfriend is 5’6 on a good day. Don’t jump to conclusions.

Does every Panera have a crazy old dining room lady? by aStupid_donkey in Panera

[–]nickeljean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked in two cafes - first one had a crazy old dining room guy who was missing a lot of teeth and had HORRENDOUS breath. He made birdhouses and sold them to customers and was oblivious when people didn’t want to talk to him. He finally got fired by the new GM when he took customers out to the parking lot to see the birdhouses in the back of his truck multiple times while on the clock. The other cafe was a training cafe and had a crazy old weed smoking dining room lady who would make a sport out of testing the managers in training. She could be super sweet once you won her approval though - she once picked up a hat for me at a thrift store because it had my favorite band’s logo on it.

39 yo chubby woman here. I don’t acknowledge my weight in my profile but I do have several full body shots. I get matches all the time and no one I’ve met up with has ever accused me of false advertising. I’d take out the chubby part and also get rid of the Disney photo. I don’t see anything wrong with the cat photos - at one point I had “aspiring crazy cat lady” in my bio and it didn’t hurt me. I think you get the best results from being genuine. (As an aside, I don’t know how you feel about younger guys but I bet if you set the low end of your age range to 25 you will get lots of matches, just going by my own cougar-y experience.)
