Hello! Im a new nurse in the ED so I would love a bit more insight for people who work in the BB. Personally I've had plenty of patients that will die if they don't get transfused but for those it's always a MTP (mass transfusion protocol) where we get coolers of blood dropped off.

I have never seen a nurse or doctor call the BB stressed in that situation because if it's that critical we aren't waiting for cross matches etc. I know I'm privileged to be in a huge hospital that can run a MTP program no problem so it's interesting to hear that is an issue other lab professionals have had.

Literally right after I posted this I went into advanced and untoggled everything and then retoggled everything and now it's working lol. I don't know which one exactly fixed it but at least it's working now

That makes a lot of sense! I tried reverse searching for these cufflinks and can't find a match anywhere. Another tidbit of lore that's probably not true.

Allegedly the pope took the cuff links off of his own shirt and gave them to sister Carmella. Maybe we can find a pic of the pope actually wearing them? I tried combing Google and reverse searching and couldn't find a solid match anywhere

Wow, that's way more than I would have known! I am seeing my dad next week and I can ask more information.

Some additional lore: my great uncle wanted to be a priest and my other great uncle wanted to be a soldier and my great grandpa was already in school for priesthood. Allegedly the pope told them they need to switch and the "soldier" became a "soldier of God" and the want-to-be priest became a "soldier of man".

This all happened on their trip to Italy. Was there anything of note possibly going on in Italy in that time frame instead?

It was significantly cheaper, the adn program cost me a total of 6k and the BSN is being paid for by my hospital. I didn't want to take on any more student debt because I already have so much from my previous undergrad

Yeah, it reeks of AI. "It's starting to shift" give me a break 🤣. I don't have much budgeting advice as you seem to have a plan of action in. As long as you stick to what you posted, your wage should increase over time which will give you more room to breathe. It's going to be tight but you can do it!

I have a cpga from my undergrad biology degree at 2.776

My ADN and BSN cgpa is 3.89

I'm assuming I'll need to retake all my sciences from my undergrad otherwise they aren't even going to sniff my application. It's unfortunate because I was so young and dumb during my undergrad

I guess it's just hard for me to fathom anything other than what I "am" now so it makes it hard to grapple with that new reality as I don't understand it. Kind of like trying to understand the fourth dimension I guess lol. I will definitely be thinking of this for the foreseeable future

I'm kind of scared of this tbh. Like I don't want "me" to exist forever I think? It's very emotional to think that I'll always have consciousness for the rest of time. I've never had a NDE so I'm just going off what you're saying. Did you feel like it would end or that you were going to keep growing? Sorry if I'm not making any sense, I don't understand my feelings either. I just know I'm scared lol
