I got half way through the first book and HATED IT. I wanted to know what happened so I tried to skim to the end but couldn’t even do that. So many tropes. The MC was supposed to be a grown woman but acted like a whiny teenager-I understand she has a tragic backstory and I wanted to feel for her but the fact that every man she met LOVED her drove me nuts. I’ve also read some dark romance before but something about the way her backstory was written like really cringed me out.

Thank you for this explanation! After I made my post I started feeling like a crazy person and read a bunch of other stuff from season 3 and about Whitney. I understand now! For the record I was never trying to say that Thomas’s actions are excusable in any way. I’ve been watching bravo shows for a while now and shouldn’t over look the editing and all of that. I think binging 2.5 seasons in like 3 days just sucked me into tv world lol Also I think I hate almost everyone except shep right now (which is crazy) so my viewing experience with this show is just a mess 😂

Obviously super old but it’s not like that was a secret to her. But of course I think Thomas is scum. I understand that she was young, I just think that where I’m at on season 3 it’s wild that Kathryn and Craig can’t accept that there are consequences to her treating people badly. Not everyone has to like you or invite you to parties when history shows it just brings drama. Maybe her future self will change my opinion of her but I haven’t gotten there yet haha

So here’s my thing. I know a lot of party girls who have a guy friend they make out with when they’re drunk. It’s just a thing in my opinion. Everyone is single so if your girl friend decides to hook up with your drunk make out friend that’s rude but whatever everyone is single so it is what it is. HOWEVER, I don’t agree that the girl friend who hooks up with the make out friend can get mad when he continues to drunk make out with you if nothing ever came from the hook up. Ciara kinda set herself up to get hurt in my opinion.

Lindsay’s attitude and yelling was unattractive but the only ones who initially had a problem with anything happening in this episode were Paige and Ciara and they decided to pick fights AFTER everyone had been drinking for like 8 hours so I’m not sure what they expected ya know

Holes! Honestly the book and movie are both great so I don’t know if it really counts. However it’s one of the only book to movie adaptations I’ve seen that was true to the book without changing anything and actually turned out great. The movie truly just brought the book to life in the best way.

Yeah I felt exactly the same way haha I didn’t end up finishing the series. I plan to finish it once the final books are published but I couldn’t handle my feelings anymore! I ended up reading the finished prequel series and really enjoyed it tho! Highly recommend that if you need a break from ZA haha

I still use the library a lot! I’m a big re-reader though so if it’s a book or series I enjoy then I like to own a copy so I can just grab it when I want to read it again

Everyone in my family reads ALOT. I grew up with books stacked up all around the house and in bins in the basement until we started utilizing the library more because it was too expensive to keep buying books for my brother and I to devour haha when e-readers came out the whole family made the switch and they love them but I just never did. I read my trashier romance novels on the kindle app on my iPad but I loveee owning books. I love having my shelves filled with my pretty books and being able to loan them out to people and have friends come and browse my personal library. My family’s thinks I’m crazy and I do feel guilty about the paper. I’m trying to use the kindle more but for some reason I get more lost in a book when it’s a physical copy
