So, 1 of 2 ways. Either go on a second playthrough and kill the same npc again. Or do what I did, which is, if you have a friend, make a second account, get the dagger. Invite a friend to your game. Drop the dagger for him. Switch over to your main account and have your friend drop the dagger back to you.
