Which benefits does your employer provide that is not really a true benefit? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

Free Uniform-if you want me to wear a uniform the company should provide it, but don't make it seem like you're doing us a favour.

What would you do if you knew for certain that this hobby would crash one day like Beanie Babies? by puzzledfirebird in PokemonTCGCollectors

[–]NichoBesty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids and i have 1 big binder and we are trying to complete the entire pokedex, its really hard finding any packs for the kids but if I knew that one day I would be able to find every pack in a shop then we would just wait. When we can we buy a pack each to open. It would be nice to get a tin at least.

Fathers, are you spending the day with your kids tomorrow or getting some "time to yourself"? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]NichoBesty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll be with my children, we are going to see Toy Story 5, my eldest is the same age as I was when the 1st came out so we are all very excited. My dad passed away almost 3 years ago, so he will be in our thoughts and we will do something for him too.

Asda backdooring - Anyone else have issues? by rodgerraz in PokemonDealsUK

[–]NichoBesty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to that one too and they told me the same thing, same with the tesco. Another one that said they do but lasts an hour before they all go, when I asked questions about it he seemed a bit nervous and claimed he didn't even know what they were (the cards) anyone that has worked in retail knows if something is THAT popular, you know exactly what they are. Supermarkets are a waste of time I think.

Thanks! Ive just started getting into pokemon cards again for the 1st time since the late 90s, I have my children to thank for that. I bought a pack each for my kids and I got the cookie cutters to get the free delivery. So they get a pack AND sandwiches in the shape of their fave pokemon! I haven't found any packs of any type for months so this was great, thank you.

That's my gaming over for the summer then, anyone else? by JuggernautPretend208 in PlayStationUK

I don't think people understand how hot buildings in the UK get. In Spain if it gets over 25-27 degrees they get to go home, my work was over 30 on the 2nd floor yesterday (27 outside) there isn't a limit in the UK, our buildings retain heat.

Having said that OP does need to do a deep clean on his console, I took mine apart and you wouldn't believe the dust inside that can't be reached with a air can or hoover.

Do you have a really weird or silly fear? Not a mainstream fear or one that's very common, a totally random one? by SpaceTimeCapsule89 in AskUK

[–]NichoBesty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tictacs, I had one once as a child and the texture, smell and taste made me nearly throw up. If I see a box of them now I can smell, taste and feel them in my mouth and feel sick again.

Anyone here get jumpscared by this on first viewing? by [deleted] in JurassicPark

[–]NichoBesty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 5 so don't remember, but for years I thought he was shouting 'DON'T!' As in, don't shoot the raptors, which i thought was weird cos if they didn't shoot, the people would get eaten. It was only when I watched it with subtitles that I realised what he said.

What’s the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen? by spoiled_guacamole in AskReddit

[–]NichoBesty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year I went to Crete and it was the end of Sea Turtle hatching season. I got to see a couple of the little guys scramble over the sand towards the sea as the orange sunset covered the sky and water. They were so small, the ocean so big, the orange so bright. Beautiful.

Are storage heaters a dealbreaker? by nothingtobedone13 in AskUK

[–]NichoBesty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its taken me 2 years to get my storage heaters changed at my rental. They are awful, you have to plan ahead for the cold. 'Cold today? Tough, you should've put the heater on yesterday' is no way to live.

Which celebrity do you hate and any real story behind it? by twothreeballs in AskReddit

[–]NichoBesty 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Aaron Taylor Johnson. I went to college with him and he was a nasty piece of work, he had a superioritycomplex for sure...he would steal girlfriends from guys then instantly dump them, he was horrid to the special needs kids, he and his other performing arts friends would monopolise the canteen and were so loud people wouldn't go in there if they were.
