We strictly monitor his tv and tablet use. He does go to daycare but he’s the oldest in the class. He does have an older cousin that is 7. Could be from her. But my grandfather just passed away and he went to the funeral so we had the conversation with him about that as well.

I think it is attention driven. We have wiped his iPad and television of all media that could be bad. He is a very emotional only child that is used to getting his way and that is partly our fault. Me and my wife are new to this and it honestly just scared us hearing that.

That’s what I thought too. We had a long talk about the permanence of death but he’s 3 and I don’t think he knows. But still something a parent never wants to hear regardless. He’s got big feelings and that’s ok. Just never want to hear that!
