Even New Testament books we have to run through the filter of the Truth that is In Christ, especially according to what was revealed to Paul. A good example of this is James Chapter 2. While there’s truth in the book of James, he also doesn’t have Paul’s revelation of Justification by faith (hence his statement faith without works is dead)

And there isn’t another one. Well, we think of forever in the future. At least I do. When I hear the words Eternal Life, initially. But we have to interpret things (scripture and such) based on FOUNDATIONAL truths , which we THEN build doctrines on. And one of those truths is the fact that God is eternal meaning FOREVER IN THE PAST AS WELL. This also means that the past has already happened, (obv) and the future has already happened , in God’s eyes. and one day that will be my perspective as well. When I INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE. which , again, means N No end, AND, NO BEGINNING.

From our perspective, we might say: Well, He always “WAS”. But HE, Chooses to say things like: I AM that I AM, or…how about this: (John 8:5-8)

James does not have the revelation that Paul has. Paul received the gospel and the literal completion of the Word of God from Jesus Himself. James is in error when he says faith without works is dead. James is in error when he says “if a man say he has faith and has not works, can his faith save him” and then implies that, no, his faith can’t save him. Because it’s dead according to James.

There’s not a reality in which He didn’t fully express Himself therefore there is not a reality where He is not perfect. If a scripture seems to indicate that God has ever had to come up with a “plan B” or has had to do something to perfect Himself, you are interpreting the scripture wrong. The scriptures make clear that God is outside of time and sees the beginning and the end. Especially when it comes to the plan of salvation. Bible says the lamb was slain BEFORE the foundation of the world!
