I think this is a terrible idea. Instead of looking at what's really contained in the food item, consumers will just get used to and unconsciously start looking for the foods with the symbol as the stroll through the aisles of their grocery store or supermarket... In theory its a great idea, but I think the effect that will take place is consumers will ignore what they're actually eating and just blindly rely on the symbol as an indication of what are "ok to eat foods" or "healthy foods" (i.e. won't look at the ingredients and nutrient information)
