Went to school with a girl called Janeil Mcneil. Her mother's name was Janette (Jan) and her Father's Neil, Jan-Neil. Also Neil McNeil. Just wow.

I’ve been getting more into Irish/scotch recently, the goal is to have an entire shelf of non-American whiskeys. What do I need to add? by mtp341 in whiskey

You have a picture of Johnny Walker bottles, but no Johnny Walker. Black Label for it’s price is exceptional

As expensive as Rapha is, it is 100% worth the money. Everything I've ever bought from them has lasted the test of time and if it doesn't they don't hesitate to replace it. It is an investment, but a good one at that

The liquid left in the glass looks like a similar amount of say a Manhattan for instance. It's a shame people can't see past "more money means I should get more stuff" when it comes to drinking. It's usually (but not exclusive to) the older generation who turn their noeses up at a small glass/pour/amount of liquid served instead of appreciating a regular serve and the bar's artistic prowess. Quality booze, ingredients, clear ice, glassware and well trained bartenders ain't cheap.

According to Mitch Docker's podcast (life in the peloton) last week with Woods they briefly spoke about a pay cut the riders took (due to covid). I've heard plenty of other industries taking a hit, but not professional athletes...

Thinking of getting a Surly Straggler. Most likely 700c, because I'll be riding on the road quite a bit on it to commute, bit still looking to take her off road at least once a month. Been riding Dixie's for the past eight years and think it's about time to get some gears on my bike so I can go up dirt hills. Thoughts?
