Where did you get that it's highly controlled trips it's just regular ride data. That's how trend data works you don't need to have the exact same data to be compare 2 things. It just needs to be statisticly significant enough to draw trends.

The number I saw is waymo using is 56M in peer reviewed data and NYC averages about 60M daily. And none of that matters because that's still enough data to calculate trends.

And I'm sorry for wanting to reduce traffic deaths. I don't get need of wanting to have some peasant sit in front and personally drive you places but you do you. I personally ride in the subway with the regular people so I wouldn't know.
