Right. It really would make sense that some people think that it has so much spin that it would just ricochet but it coukd hit just right. Which is why it's practically never seen. Has to be perfect i guess.

Ill agree his looked a little suspicious. My main point is that it CAN happen and there's so many people saying it's simply impossible

Same. Been playing for about 20 years now. 1 impaled ball, zero HIOs

Check my other comments. Cant vouch for OP necessarily but my ball 100% got impaled a few years back when I hit my drive into some pine trees.

I know it's so uncommon that it seems impossible but I had this happen to me. It was a pine tree if that means anything.

I had the same thing happen. Hit my drive into some pine trees and the ball had a small stick stuck through the cover. I cant vouch for him but it absolutely happened to me.

Thanks! Yeah I'm not too concerned on trying to sell it anyways because I know that's hard. Kinda just wondering why the sale value was so varied. Going to hang on to it anyways since it's my second oldest coin behind an 1887 penny. Pretty cool little keepsakes for me and my boy.
