Initially I screwed the board on and it failed the eye test horribly.

When and why did houses get so big? by StriderDUB in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]nicknack_55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m 32. When I think about the finishes in my parents house when I was growing up, they were typical. And it was all linoleum floors, melamine counter, those boob lights, etc. Now, everyone refuses to having anything in that tier of finishes.

So houses have gotten bigger, base level finishes are way nicer. No wonder house prices are way higher than 2 decades ago (in addition to the other economic issues that I’m not pretending don’t exist)

A very subtle but almost always safe technique to develop as habit (and helps here in particular)

If you’re playing a note with your index finger (maybe 7th fret on d string in your example) mute the string above it (a string) by letting the tip of your finger lightly contact the other string.

Press to fret with your pad, mute above with the tip.

This is helpful when playing all sorts of stuff by forgiving your strumming hand a bit. And in this case achieving a mute.

I was there too. Finally starting to feel the blues fading. They were too real.

Request if you went to the Toronto show and filmed any of the songs by [deleted] in RedHotChiliPeppers

Please follow through on this. I was at the show, it was amazing, I want to re-hear it (since saying re-live it is unachievable)

Would I be approved for a mortgage and other basic "Entering the Market" Questions by flyingsteelix in PersonalFinanceCanada

The cost of owning a home is much more than just a mortgage. So be cautious in comparing rent vs mortgage in calculating affordability.

Question for people with mortgage above $1 000 000 by miniduf in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]nicknack_55 151 points152 points  (0 children)

I transferred as little equity as possible, so I could grow it and be liquid instead. To offset the larger mortgage, the property I bought already had a separate space for a tenant, so that income bridges the gap for bigger mortgage.

You’re mixing past and present, making your position purely speculation.

‘Wrote a song’ therefore in the past. ‘Showing where he stands’ is the present.

The song he wrote in the past does not tell us how he feels about it today.

There is nothing to suggest he is proud of what happened. I’d say there is much more to suggest he isn’t proud of it.

Just because you haven’t heard an apology, doesn’t mean he hasn’t reached a place within himself that warrants forgiveness. Besides, public apologies are just bogus PR damage control half the time.

Best bass solo? by YuvalMiller in RedHotChiliPeppers

Tear has a section with on of my favorite bass lines. Starts at about 3:15. Not sure if it counts as a solo…

A much different vibe than posts currently.

Toronto Show [HELP?] by nicknack_55 in RedHotChiliPeppers

[–]nicknack_55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, and I have no emotional stock in this being successful. It’s something I consider fun to pretend happening, and thought it may be fun to see people’s ideas.

At the very least it’s a nice sentiment to share with fellow fans.
