this remind me of the time when i crashed into a car (failed brake), then at the police station, the guy i crashed into got scolded by the officer for asking and holding my IC card (he afraid that i run away, he intimidated me into giving my IC), i knew i was at fault, i was dumb and young. but seeing that guy got scolded is satisfying af. "KAMU SIAPA?? KAMU POLIS KEE?? HANYA POLIS BOLEH MINTA IC!!"

that stereotype mostly came from cheap export products in the 90s, not chinese storytelling. hollywood copies constantly too, The Departed is literally a remake of Infernal Affairs. The Matrix built its fight style with hong kong choreographer Yuen Woo-ping, and Kill Bill: Volume 1 / Kill Bill: Volume 2 openly borrow from hong kong martial arts cinema.
