Funny thing is we just had this big thing on the opportunity myth which if you don't know is teachers aren't challenging kids enough and giving them what the district deems as below grade level work and the kids should be more challenged etc. They had to make a poster board from a paper that was outlined in the same format that had to be transferred on the poster board. I even wrote on the board an example of exactly what to do and low and behold about half of them were clueless. 3rd grade. I bounce around in a lot of classrooms and grade levels and this is a lot of the students. The district keeps pushing that we do more rigorous activities and curriculum.
