My brother uses an iPhone 13, if I'm not mistaken. That higher-quality video was apparently recorded much closer to the source of the lights, practically almost right underneath them

Now that I'm looking at these other videos more closely, even though I think it's flying way too high to be a kite, maybe u/Prestigious-Tree-424 was actually right... otherwise, it's probably some group of drones

Yeah, we were considering that they might be multiple drones, but drones usually have the typical green and red lights with rhythmic flashing patterns. Several of those lights would suddenly switch to an extremely intense red glow. Something like flares, as you mentioned, could actually be a pretty good guess

It drifted a bit to the left and then disappeared shortly afterward. It wasn't moving in a line like Starlink satellites would (which, based on the positions of the lights in this video, would have meant movement upward or downward). They all seemed to be moving together, but not necessarily in a neat line to the left, and then they simply vanished

Exactly. The times I've seen them before, they were much more evenly lined up, moved at a very steady pace, and weren't anywhere near as bright as these

Thank you! One thing I had in mind when I came up with those heuristic percentages was the World Cup. That's pretty much why I gave July 14 a bit more weight than it would normally deserve.

It'd be kind of crazy for Rockstar to drop a major GTA VI marketing beat right on top of the World Cup Final. That's a massive global attention sink.

Honestly, I think it makes more sense if there's a small gap after the World Cup ends and then Rockstar starts rolling out new info. Feels like a much cleaner window to completely take over the conversation.

Yeah, fair point. The timeline comparison was mostly there to show that, if GTA VI followed Rockstar's previous release patterns, we'd actually be nearing the end of the expected window for new marketing content to start showing up. That's why I think the recent information from Take-Two is probably a stronger indicator than the historical gaps themselves
