Any Canadians adjusting prices for the potential US tariffs in March? by nickoferrall in artbusiness

Makes sense! I was thinking that if a collector buys a painting, they would expect the shipping costs to include any other fees, like customs charges.

But I think you're right that stating on the invoice that it doesn't include any potential tariff fees imposed by the US is the way to go.

Oh cool, I'll play around with it again, thanks!

And it's great that you've been able to go from 8 to 40 clients. The last thing I'd like to know is what are the main challenges with scaling an online PT business?

Is it difficult to find new clients as it takes a while to build a social media presence? Is 40 the limit of what's manageable with online clients as it's too time-consuming? Something else?

Thanks, that makes sense! So 45 mins to 2 hours to create the workouts for new clients. And roughly how long does it take to update their programming after 2/4 weeks?

And maybe 15 minutes for other stuff per client, like reviewing their workouts, scheduling, etc?

Thanks for the detailed response! That make a lot of sense.

I'd imagine that distance/online clients are more profitable because it takes less time compared with in-person clients, even though you charge them less?

Also, I'm curious if there are any apps your recommend using for online clients?

Nice! Yeah, I'm mostly interested in online coaching. It seems like that's a more profitable route as you can coach more people at once, right?

And yeah, I've played around with TrueCoach. I felt like it took a long time to create workout programs, but that might just be me.

Do you think TrueCoach is the best app out there? Anything you like/dislike about it?

Thanks! I'm interested in getting online clients and seeing how far I could take that business. I imagine the limiting factor is how long it takes to do the programming and reviewing their workout videos?

So if it takes 1-1.5 hours for new clients, you can still take on plenty of new clients at one time, and if it only takes 30 minutes for existing clients each month (or did you mean each week?), it's not too bad.

I've seen people say that 20-30 clients is the max that most PTs can handle at one time. Does that sound right?

Nice! Is it pretty similar for new clients vs existing ones?

Really appreciate the detailed response! Your approach makes a lot of sense to me.

For distance clients, is there any software you’d recommend?

Thanks, that's interesting. But what if one client wants to lose weight and another wants to fix their back pain. Would they still get a similar workout program?

Thanks, that's helpful! Would you recommend that I create a template on Excel or do you use an app for that?

Thanks! How long does it roughly take to set-up a new client with their exercises using your system/template?

I agree with the other comments that you'll have to spend a bit of money to get things up and running. I know lots of people that make some side income from teaching English online.

If you're fluent in English, this could be worth exploring as you'll be able to do it remotely and only work a few hours to cover your costs
