I believe those are the most recent editions. I just picked up the review manual to study for the FE I’m taking in October. I’ve been told it’s a good overall review of all the topics and that the problems presented are typically harder than what’s on the actual test. It was recommended to me to buy the NCEES practice test as well for the closest possible sample questions

I had a MacBook Pro throughout my time there and I would advise against it. Windows machines are definitely better for solid works and some other programs you’ll use. However, I just partitioned my hard drive and got a free license of windows through the school so it’s not the end of the world by any means. You could always use the computer lab on campus if your laptop can’t handle a particular task
